Today in Current Events from a Christian Perspective:
First off, I wanted to thank those that said I was not being faithful to Jesus Christ by saying that our country is better off under Donald Trump than Biden. This just reminds me why I do what I do. I have no idea where these people are getting their information, but here is 30 seconds of why that is the most ridiculous claim. Under the Biden administration, they persecuted pro life Christians by putting them in prison for protesting the murder of babies. They weaponized the DOJ to specifically target Catholics as potential terrorists because of their Christian beliefs. He brought topless trans people to the White House lawn for a party. They tried to force an untested medical treatment on all of America with penalty of job loss or worse, and many did lose their jobs because of it. The admin appointed a Supreme Court justice who could not define a woman. And on and on.
Even after the election, the DNC opened one of their meetings with this ridiculous anti-Christian garbage
VID - DNC prayer lady
Um sorry, what is universe energy?
Well that is certainly anti-Christian.

Meanwhile, I've already reported several moments of Trump and Vance and others praying, singing and thanking our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

You may not like him. And I don't love him, but he is certainly better than the former from a Christian perspective and if you cannot see that, you may want to read your Bible more and you certainly should not keep listening to this podcast.
If you are brave enough though, listen on and we will look at Current Events from a Christian perspective.

All this and more today on ChurchPublic!

Today in Current Events from a Christian Perspective:
Donald Trump becomes the 47th President of the United States on a cold and windy January day in the year of our Lord, 2025. It was an incredible ceremony with lots of great moments which we will go through a few that I think are interesting from a Christian Worldview perspective.

Of course the biggest story of the week is the upcoming inauguration of former and now almost President Trump. I know I'll be watching online all day Monday and excitedly looking forward to a better series of years ahead.
I'll probably be live posting on X and Instagram @churchpublic if you want to follow along.

Ok we are going to get to President Carter's funeral, the leading cause of death in 2024, Bible sales in 2024 and more, but before we do, there is a weird war in the online world this week about whether Muslims and Christians serve the same God.

CHRIST is BORN! Advent Week 5

If you have been listening this month, we have talked about Hope, Peace, Joy, Love and now today we talk about Jesus Christ. This is the traditional Advent progression and I wanted to share it briefly with you in the hopes that you would be encouraged to celebrate not just this season, but the whole reason for the Christmas season - Jesus Christ.

God is Love! Advent Week 4

Advent celebrates the arrival of Jesus into the world and all that brings us!

We all have this deep desire for something more. We know that we are made for something deeper and stronger that lasts the test of time and doesn't fail.

This is God's love for you. You may try and fill the hole inside with all kinds of relationships and adventures, and stuff, but you know that it will not fully satisfy.

This Christmas season, instead of trying to find fulfillment in other broken people or stuff, or anything else, take a moment and see how God has shown his love to you.

Jesus brings PEACE!

This is the second week in our Advent series here at ChurchPublic. Last week we looked at the Advent of Hope. Today we will look at the Advent of Peace. This peace, peace from God, heavenly peace is different from the peace this world offers.
This is Week 2 of Advent here at Church Public.
Advent is a season of hope and expectation. It's a time to prepare for the coming of Christ, to reflect on the year that has passed, and to look forward to the promises of Christmas. Advent has its roots in the Old Testament, where it was celebrated as the time when the Israelites would prepare for the coming of the Messiah. The word "advent" actually comes from the Latin word "adventus", meaning "to arrive."

Today in Current Events from a Christian Perspective:
Public schools are becoming satanic temples. No that is not an exaggeration, a school in Ohio is now offering an hour during school where students can learn about the teachings of the Satanic Temple. This seems bad to me, but we will look at the story.
Meanwhile, a city council in Oklahoma decides to invoke Medusa, yes that Medusa and many other evil spirits to help them govern. Again, seems like a bad choice.
But in some good news, Bible sales in America are actually rising at an incredible rate which is really great to see.
Finally, we check in with our neighbors to the north where a town has decided enough is enough and is banning pride crosswalks among other things.

All this and more today
I'm Matt Odegaard and this is ChurchPublic!
