Happy Holidays everybody! We continue our year-end wrap-up episodes, this week joined by the most prolific film critic in Chicago, perhaps the world.
Mark Dujsik is back in the house. He has his Top 5 Scenes of 2023 all picked out, as do Matt and Ry. When Mark chooses a top list of any kind you know he is choosing from over 500 films that he saw this year. (the actual number is discussed, and its even higher than that), so you can take these picks to the bank.
Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year!

The Holiday Season is heating up, and movies are coming fast and furious… although thankfully no Fast and Furious movies right now. Pfil and the lads are trying to make sure nothing slips through the cracks and bring you a double dose of review revelry, or an extra helping 0f you will, just in time for Thanksgiving break.
Speaking of breaks, we review a movie about students being left behind at a boarding school over the holidays that sees the reunion of Alexander Payne and the man of the month, Paul Giamatti, entitled The Holdovers. In addition, we hop through a wormhole back into the MCU to check out the latest hyperactive superhero romp The Marvels.
In honor of The Holdovers, we take a look at a fascinating genre and bring you our Top 5 Boarding School Movies… there are more than you would think.

Be sure to look over your shoulder… is there someone watching you? Following you? This week, we wrap up the spooky season with a deep dive on Movie Stalkers, and Stalker Movies (whichever you prefer) in honor of our paranoid reviews.
Speaking of reviews, we have a double dose for you this week. First up is a highly anticipated (by some) horror about stalking animatronics based on the video game of the same name, Five Nights at Freddy’s! Next on our hit list is the new film from David Fincher, starring Michael Fassbender, simply entitled The Killer.
You know that we like to end every episode with a trivia game, so Fassbender Trivia it is!
Keep one earbud out!

This week on the ‘Jaw it’s time for another Review-O-Rama! The three films we will review are: a new courtroom dramedy starring Tommy Lee Jones and the amazing Jamie Foxx, The Burrial (also based on a true story), the documentary about a spy turned novelist The Pigeon Tunnel, and a bonkers sci-fi romance film with Riz Ahmed and Jessie Buckley, Fingernails.
As if that wasn’t enough, we are also plumbing the dark corners of the film industry for the Top Horror Based on a True Story!

Whenever the great Martin Scorsese makes a new picture, it’s an event. Speaking of events, we also got out to the opening night of the Chicago International Film Festival!
On the ticket for opening night is a film called We Grown Now, about the life of two children in Chicago’s infamous Cabrini Green housing project. As for Marty, we review Killers of the Flower Moon an adaptation of a book of the same name that is hitting theaters now.
In addition to that, we cover our Top 5 Martin Scorsese Scenes. It’s a jam-packed ‘Jaw as always!
