For the 11th episode of the CIO podcast hosted by Healthcare IT Today, John Kravitz, SVP/CIO at Geisinger Health and Board Chair at CHIME sat down with special guest host Colin Hung, CMO and Editor at Healthcare IT Today.  Coming out of the CHIME Summer Forum event, we wanted to catch up with Kravitz to learn about what was shared at the virtual event.  Of particular interest was the CHIME session that featured all of the past National Coordinators at ONC.  Kravitz also shares what Geisinger is doing to better integrate EHR into their business and he offers his thoughts on the impact of the information blocking rules.

Kravitz also shares what policy changes we may see coming down the pipe.  Plus, he offers suggestions on what CIOs can do to keep up on all the various healthcare regulations that impact the CIO.  Going beyond policy and regulations, Kravitz shares his advice for new and aspiring healthcare CIOs.
