For the 13th episode of the CIO podcast hosted by Healthcare IT Today, we sat down with Lori Sturgill, CIO at St. Francis Healthcare System.  One thing that’s amazing about Sturgill is that she went from being a Cardiac Intensive Care Technician to becoming CIO.  That’s quite the career path and you’ll hear about how she made it happen in this episode.  Plus, along the way, she also was one of the early implementers of Epic, so she shared how she’s seen Epic change since she first implemented the EHR.  Plus, Sturgill shares some of the challenges her organization faces today, the best advice she’s ever been given, and the value of connecting with CIO peers.
