For the 2nd episode of the CIO podcast hosted by Healthcare IT Today, we’re sitting down with Andy Crowder, Senior Vice President / Chief Information & Analytics Officer at Atrium Health.  In this discussion, Crowder shares some of the biggest operational and technical challenges Atrium Health faces and how he and his team are approaching those challenges.  Plus, we ask him what is the most exciting project he’s working on.

Crowder also shares some great insights into lessons he’s learned as CIO that can help other CIOs or aspiring CIOs.  Interestingly, he didn’t plan to be a CIO until someone else saw the potential in him.  Finally, he also shares insights into how the role of IT and the CIO are evolving and what healthcare CIOs should be paying attention to in order to be prepared for the future.
