CIO Podcast - Episode 75: AI Benefits with Bill Hudson

Listen Later

For the 75th episode of the CIO podcast hosted by Healthcare IT Today, we are joined by Bill Hudson, Chief Digital Strategist at Aidoc and former CIO at INTEGRIS Health and John Muir Health to talk AI! We kick this episode off by discussing the motivation behind his transition from his role as CIO to the vendor side. Then we talk about where we think AI will offer operational benefits to organizations. Next, we debate over how CIOs should be approaching the wave of AI solutions/algorithms/platforms that are hitting the market right now. Hudson then shares with us his opinions on AI interoperability and data interoperability. We then discuss the hurdles that we see in place of AI and how we think CIOs can work to overcome them. Next, we ask Hudson if there’s something that current CIOs are afraid to say that he is willing to say now that he’s on the vendor side. Lastly, Hudson passes along the best piece of advice he’s gotten in his career.
