  • 2219: Cock fight in Bali
    Recorded by Marcel Gnauk.
"When I arrived a crowd of 50 people are already here and the first fight was over. Until a fight, it takes a long time because of the referees who are sitting in the middle of the ring and deciding what rooster fight each other. More and more people showed up and you can listen to the crowd and roosters in the baskets.
If two roosters are chosen each of them gets a sharp knife on one leg and because roosters have a natural aggression to each other and they fight immediately or jump on each other.
A fight is not longer than two minutes and if one of the roosters runs away they put both together in a basket until one of them dies!"

  • 2218: SpringWalk
    Reimagined by thequietwood.
"I always go for a brisk walk in my local woods when ever I can, and for some reason my music of choice to accompany such walks has tended to be early 90's electronic stuff. Sometimes I would hear the infamous "loon" sfx within those records and have to remove headphones and check that the sound wasn't coming from the woods themselves. The high pitched bird song from the woods would always mingle with the music being piped into my ears and the patterns of calls and response often seemed to enhance the music or be wonderfully in tune and on time. I've attempted to recreate all of those experiences here. The main synth riff is bird notes converted to melody."
