Game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals tonight in Hockey Town. Congrats Boston Bruins, and congrats to the majority of Canucks fans who kept spirits high. Alas, it looks like a few hooligans are mixing it up downtown as I write this. (sigh) Maybe it's the full moon..

We went on air with this episode shortly after Vancouver Canucks' 1-0 victory in game 1 of the Stanley Cup finals. Exciting times in the city! I was thrilled to have a chat with Holger Petersen, "Canada's Ambassador for the Blues" and head of Edmonton's Stony Plain Records. They've just released a wonderful CD/DVD combo to celebrate 35(!) years as a label. This week's Vancouver Folk Music Festival preview included bands from Britain and Mali.

Paul Norton of CiTR's "Code Blue" talked about Bob Dylan fandom, and then Carl Finch of Brave Combo chatted about the backstory of Dylan covering "Must Be Santa". April 20 (4/20) has become a popular day for young Vancouverites, as much or even more so than Earth Day (April 22). We tip our hand-crocheted beanies to all y'all who celebrate either of those days, with some musical treats. We also did a phone interview with Toronto's Andrea Ramolo, currently on tour and touching down at the Railway Club 4/25. And near the end of the show, Raffi implores all you "Beluga grads" to get out and vote May 2!
