During tonight's show we replayed his wonderful live in-studio set of Aug. 26, 2009. Got to a few releases as well, notably the great new release from Little Miss Higgins. Night 3 of 4 of annual "Celebration of Light" tonight, which means several hundred thousand folks cram into the West End. And leave garbage all over the place! I have a song for those people.. Lots of new releases tonight and an interview with Montreal singer-songwriter Leif Vollebekk, currently touring the West Coast. Hope everyone's staying nice and cool!

Vancouver Folk Music Festival is just around the corner! (July 16-18) Australian duo Luluc is in town for the festival and graced us with a few songs live in the studio. Also two phone interviews: one with the inimitable Kinky Friedman (he's at Biltmore Cabaret July 26) and one with Anne Louise Genest of Annie Lou (appearing at Harrison and Vancouver festivals).
Hope to see some of you at Jericho Beach this weekend - come prepared for hot weather and even hotter music!

Tonight's show featured interviews with Linda Tanaka of the Vancouver Folk Music Festival, and an interview with Mark Adams of charity event "Friends of Folk" (July 8, Biltmore Cabaret). We also featured the July 18 evening lineup for VFMF, which is going to be amazing (and yours truly will be co-hosting).
