CiTR -- Folk Oasis

Hope you enjoy this little detour. Tonight I told a few stories about my travels in New Zealand, and played tunes by New Zealand artists in between. Hope it gives you a little taste of Aotearoa and perhaps even a little longing to visit!

kia ora y'all,

My last Folk Oasis before a little spring break travel to New Zealand. Where it'll be autumn, of course. Shari Ulrich phoned in tonight from the ferry to Bowen Island..how very West Coast! Do check out her CD release show May 7, if you're in the city.
Hope you enjoy tonight's show. As always, thanks for your support! Do check out the podcasts for the next few weeks and some special guest hosts.

"low and growly" being the state of the announcer's voice this week, esp. as she forgot to bring a bottle of water with her into the studio. No matter - fun was had, new CDs were played and upcoming concerts were announced. Thanks for listening and hope you're enjoying spring!

Ahh, spring. The flowers bloom, the grass is riz, Billy Joe Shaver goes to trial.. We pay musical homage to the most polite (alleged) shooter in the Lone Star state, and play a wheelbarrow full of other new releases. Enjoy, mes amis!

Tomorrow is April Fool's but I kid you not, a fine show tonight. Everything from pretty English folk to Roky Erickson to an infamous cover of a Snoop Dogg song. Enjoy! As always, many thanks for listening, please drop a line and say hello. Happy spring!
