A l'il holiday lagniappe for all y'all! I had the pleasure of filling in for Gary on Monday night. Since he features a movie soundtrack each week, this was a great opportunity to revisit the (multiple) Grammy-winning "O Brother Where Art Thou". Still one of my favourite soundtracks -- and movies -- of the last decade. Enjoy!

It's almost (officially) winter folks! Which means the days will start getting longer again. Phew. Hope your Decembers are going as well as can be expected. Take a load off yer feet and enjoy tonight's show. Vancouver's own Julia Spitale entertained us with a few new songs and chat. Squeezed in a few Christmasy songs tonight - more next week.

Tonight we enjoyed chat and a few songs from the lovely Coco Love Alcorn. Can't wait for her show Dec. 12 with Matt Epp! Also did phone interview with Caleb Stull of Parlour Steps about the upcoming "Funderwear" benefit show (Dec. 14)
This show also served as a 'lab' for Fleur & Christian who start a new show on CiTR this week: "Are You Aware", Thursdays at 6pm. Good luck!

This clear, cold night we warmed up with two versions of the same polka - one from Bob Dylan's new album. Which proves you can take the boy out of Minnesota, but...
Also sampled the new Amchitka Concert For Greenpeace CD set which features Phil Ochs, Joni Mitchell and James Taylor.
Whew, I think we've blown our Big Folk Star budget for this month already..
