The Kingdom of God presents a paradox. Sacrifice is necessary to advance making the idea of death to life challenging. Jesus died and resurrected paying the debt of our sins, completing the perfect redemptive work of the cross. "It is finished". Personal labels are necessary and misplaced labels are dangerous when they are attached to our identity. Do we use the label to help us regulate or to avoid confronting the true underlying issue? We learn that blind Bartimaeus had labels and when he heard Jesus, he let go of the labels to follow Jesus. Mark 10:46-52

We often tend to hide behind the nuances of what we do. Although, taking action is part of our faith God is honored by obedience before sacrifices.

We are called to bear fruit and not the false appearance of it. We are called to be connected to Jesus and not only look like we are. We will be known by the fruit we produce in our life or the fig leaves we hide behind.
