This week, we’re joined by Ivette Alé-Ferlito, the co-founder of La Defensa - an organization focused on the intersectional feminist approach to dismantling of oppressive systems. They believe in the importance of investment in community power that thrives on promoting health, wellness, love of their communities, transformative justice, and community accountability. Ivette breaks down some of the work they’re doing and provides some resources for you going into this year’s midterm elections. We're also bringing you a little more context around the scandal surrounding LA's city council members.
