Dear Listeners,
Thanks for tuning in. Christina and I had a a whole whack if stories queued up for today's show.
But as the discussion unfolded early on we ended up focusing on Saskatoon and their upcoming meetings around topics and notions such as Council budgeting for smaller garage bins, that led us down the worn home if civic budgeting, infill housing, and a whole lot more weedy interwoven stuff. Worth a listen just for the entertainment value.

Thanks for tuning in,
In this week's episode - Part 1 - we focus on the upcoming provincial byelections (2 urban constituencies in Regina and one that includes the area around and including Lumdsen) and what factors may play a role in who ends up as the representative; homelessness and affordability being key ones.
In Part 2 - we focus in on Saskatoon and muse about on-going municipal Council committee budget talks.

Dear Listeners,
Thanks for tuning in. It's a real treat to have back on the show, The SKoop's Dale Richardson, along with Sally Housser of the SKoop's podcast team. Find their show on any streaming service.
In part 1 of this episode we focus on the 3 upcoming Saskatchewan Provincial By-elections set to take place in August with a voting week that culminates in Decision Day on August 10th; and what perhaps these by-elections set in motion for each of the main parties in preparation of the general election in 2024.
In part 2, we focus on municipal politics in Saskatoon and Regina. In particular, we discuss how each of the two cities are dealing with the issue of homelessness and how different orders of government (politics) converge and diverge around issues.

Hello Dear Listeners,
Christina Cherneskey and myself, Lenore Swystun, are both happy to be back in the studio together.
Lots to chat about. In the first half - we focus on by-elections occurring this week federally, and weight in on three Saskatchewan provincial by-elections which dates may be announced sometime in the next few weeks, or, at the latest, sometime this Fall.
In the second half, we do a deep dive into a recent report provided by Saskatoon's top Management team - about what the projected gap may be budget-wise to keep service levels at the current rate. Many thoughts emerge from this report during our discussion.
