It concerns Maura Heffernan (OGorman), a native of Kilkee who lives in Templeglantine in County Limerick.

Earlier this month, Maura set off on what should have been the trip of a lifetime: to visit her daughter in Canada.

However, Maura’s trip took a devastating turn after just six days, when she suffered a brain haemorrhage, from which, sadly, she will never recover.

Maura’s family are now doing their level best to get her home.

To that end, they are instigated fundraising efforts to achieve that aim.

The Irish Road Haulage Association claim barriers at toll booths are wasting millions of euro worth of diesel.

It claims trucks having to stop and start is costing drivers over 26 million euro on wasted fuel.

The association say its members are paying more in wasted diesel than on toll fees every day - and is renewing its call to have toll booths removed completely.

Its president, Ger Hyland, says there would be huge benefits to removing barriers.

Colaiste Muire Management Team Ahead Of All Ireland LGFA PPS Senior C Final

In collaboration with FoodCloud, Clare Local Development Company is hosting two workshops to inspire and support communities to come together to identify local opportunities for food sharing projects that take action on food waste.

CLDC’s two workshop events will take place next month.

John advised parents to consult Primary School Teachers for guidance. He cautioned against hastily labeling a child, as it could have lasting impacts on their subject choices, subject levels, overall education, literacy, numeracy, organisational skills, cognitive ability, and more.

The forest that won’t forget is a 16-acre plot with mature native Irish woodland just North of Ennis.

It is is a national public artwork dedicated to the women and families across Ireland affected by the failures of the CervicalCheck programme.

The woodland was recently purchased by 221+ Patient support group, who support the women and families affected by the historical failures in cervical screening in Ireland, in partnership with Hometree.

Jason Williamson is no stranger to taking on epic challenges.

The Six West Aviation founder, who is based in Shannon, will undertake an incredible 4,000km run across Australia later this year.

The run, which will surely test the limits of human endurance, will see Jason covering an average of two marathons per day, over the course of 50 days!

It’s one hell of a challenge: to find out why he is doing it, what the preparation will be like, and much more besides.
