‘Menopause and Me: The Many Ways to Manage Your Menopause’ is being organised by HSE Mid West Health and Wellbeing.

It will be held on Wednesday evening in collaboration with The Complex Menopause Clinic at the Women’s Health Hub, Nenagh Hospital.

It's hoped legacy water disruptions in a bustling West Clare town will finally be coming to an end this Summer.

Uisce Eireann has confirmed it will be replacing 6km of defective 50-year-old mains on the Coore water scheme which also serves the surrounding areas of Mullagh, Quilty, Spanish Point and Annagh.

The works will commence in March and are expected to be complete by mid June.

A former Clare General Election candidate believes criminal behaviour is becoming more widespread because of a reduced Garda presence.

The comments come ahead of a public meeting called 'Safer Clare' to be held by Aontú this Thursday at 8pm in Treacy's West County Hotel in Ennis.

The Clare/Tipperary Division has seen a 2% reduction in its Garda numbers in the space of a year, with 659 based here as of the end of last year compared to 674 in 2023.

Cooraclare-based nurse June Dillon, who ran for Aontú in the General Election, says it's never been more difficult to be a Garda.

A Midwest TD has suggested that Clare County Council should come to Limerick's aid in times of extreme weather.

Tipperary Fine Gael Deputy Michael Murphy made the comments during a Dáil debate on the Government's response to Storm Éowyn.

As it stands, resource aren't shared across local authorities and Deputy Murphy has suggested "where any county or region is disproportionately affected, it should be possible to mobilise additional services" from areas experiencing less severe effects.

He says it would encourage "good practice across the sector".
