The Parish Priest of Shannon says the pain and suffering the family of Dylan Coady Coleman have had to go through during a traumatic week is "beyond imagination".
10-year-old Dylan was airlifted to University Hospital Limerick on Sunday afternoon, after being struck by a car at Purcell Park and was subsequently transferred to Children's Health Ireland, Temple Street.
He died from his injuries on Wednesday morning, just one day after the birth of his new brother Shane, and his family have since confirmed that through organ donation, five other children will be given life.
Co-Parish Priest in Shannon, Fr Tom Whelan has told Clare FM's Morning Focus that organ donation was important to both Dylan and his family.
