Clay's Canucks Commentary

I provide a quick recap of the Canucks' two wins at the Young Stars tourney and then I bring my mother Joyce onto the show for a quick Q & A.

So who will play with who? We do our best to predict the opening night line combos.

In today's show, I cover the Canucks' roster for the upcoming Young Stars Tournament, and then we talk about expectations for Brock Boeser - both in terms of goals and his next contract.

We talk about the upcoming Young Stars tourney, Thatcher Demko's health, and my experiences volunteering at the annual Jake Milford golf tourney.

I also solicit viewer feedback on a few things I'm considering for future content.

We talk about the good news reported by Rick Dhaliwal: that Thatcher Demko has been back on the ice. We also discuss whether or not the new Leon Draisaitl contract is an overpayment by the Oilers.

We wind up the stream by talking about the soon-to-be-released CCC merch!

I share some thoughts on the tragic passing of Johnny Gaudreau, and I share my experiences from attending a wedding in Denver over the weekend.

And of course, I answer all of your questions.

Over the past couple of days, we heard about Thatcher Demko potentially not being ready for training camp, and the change in role for Ian Clark.

We also quickly discuss the rankings of Elias Pettersson and JT Miller in NHL.com's Top 20 Centers.

We talk about the surprising trade that saw Vasily Podkolzin go to the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for a 4th round pick in the 2025 Entry Draft.
