In the first segment, organizers Marteze Gaines and Clarissa Brooks chat about Cyntoia Brown being granted clemency. Marteze, an organizer with BLM Nashville, was a part of the group who challenged Governor Haslam at a public event last month. Marteze and Clarissa stress the work of so many on the ground prior to the recent groundswell of support recognizing that importance of long term organizing.
