Moses teaches Israel about the various sacrifices necessary to please a holy and offended God, but ultimately teaches us of the One whose death for our sins was a fragrant aroma that fully satisfies our great God and of the way of true faith.

To dwell in God's presence, man must not offend Him with anything profane or unclean, for as He says, 'You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy.' 

The doctrines of sin and grace, so foundational to the Biblical storyline and well grounded in Genesis and Exodus should incite our souls to eternal praise and worship of our great God. 

The Exodus tabernacle not only beautifully pictures heaven, but shows us the pathway to heaven, guiding us in our daily lives and mission and preparing us for our final homecoming.

Jesus Christ fulfilled God’s covenant and made way for God’s glorious presence through His Spirit, who steadies and comforts us in good times and bad, in hard times and easy.

Jesus Christ is portrayed in 3D throughout Genesis, that we might see Him more clearly and love and adore Him more fully. (N.B. DB&R = Death, Burial & Resurrection) 

Genesis is all about God’s promise to Abraham and to his Seed, who is ultimately Christ and all who lay hold of Him by faith.

The Law of God, revealed in the first five books of the Old Testament known as the Torah (or the Pentateuch) is ultimately a wonderful picture of the grace of God revealed through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The resurrection of the body is the certain and ultimate reward for our faith in Jesus Christ which enables us to “power through” all suffering and even daily death. 

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the only basis for hope and hence the only thing that gives life true purpose and prevents life from being an exercise of futility.
