Jesus Christ is portrayed in 3D throughout Genesis, that we might see Him more clearly and love and adore Him more fully. (N.B. DB&R = Death, Burial & Resurrection) 

Genesis is all about God’s promise to Abraham and to his Seed, who is ultimately Christ and all who lay hold of Him by faith.

The Law of God, revealed in the first five books of the Old Testament known as the Torah (or the Pentateuch) is ultimately a wonderful picture of the grace of God revealed through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The resurrection of the body is the certain and ultimate reward for our faith in Jesus Christ which enables us to “power through” all suffering and even daily death. 

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the only basis for hope and hence the only thing that gives life true purpose and prevents life from being an exercise of futility.

Preaching Christ requires following Christ: we preach with welcoming arms to offer Him as the hope for sinners, while we follow Christ in the rejection & opposition that stem from willful unbelief.

God is determined that His mission will succeed, therefore giving ourselves fully in service to that mission is the way of true safety.

When you know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the true fulfillment of the Old Testament Scriptures, it energizes you to carry out the mission of the church with clear gospel focus.

Christianity is the hope of the ages, the one true way, therefore we have complete confidence as we carry out Christ’s mission.

We must fix our hope completely on the assurance that God will vindicate those who are His when He raises them from the dead.
