    Hello again, greetings and welcome to the 191st edition of Afritunes. My name is @coderaikiri and this is my entry for this week. I will be performing a cover to the song 99 by ruger so listen and enjoy.
    Being a track on the BlownBoy Ru album, 99 takes a completely different route from the songs on the track. Listening to it for the first time, I was kinda taken about by its diversity from the rest and ended up hating it from my first listen but currently I think it's not that bad and might just be growing on me after all. The intro to the song happens to be one of the best in the entire album with home boy finessing why he is not to be played with in this game. Personally the way he voiced our "can you touch your ten toes" was just so unique that if one does not listen with both ears and your mind you wont be able to realize what he really meant by that and that is one Ruger remains a lyrical giant.
    The song is incredibly interesting and I hope y'all enjoy it.... Thanks

    Greetings to my fellow hivers, we are back again on the hive open mic community with another theme for this week titled "Harmonious Autumn". I remain my humble self @coderaikiri and for my entry to this incredible opportunity I'll be presenting a cover to the song Dancing with a stranger so stay tuned and enjoy.

    The theme for the week employs a combination of a beautiful sound and a season in the year and thus I decided to respond with something that matches both descriptions. The combination of talents like the two artists feels like a match made in heaven to produce something spectacular worthy enough of receiving the tag melodious harmony. Known for its cold weather, autumn is known as the season before winter and thus since dancing is a rigorous activity used to ward off the cold, I believe dancing with a stranger fits in perfectly.
    There's just a lot of things people do just so they don't feel alone and according to the artists, dancing with a stranger happens to be one of them. In this game of love nobody wants to be the loser so why let yourself get overwhelmed by emotions and stay alone when you can always go outside to ease things up. With the intention to get those dark thoughts out of their heads, both singers agree they left home only to end up in the arms of a stranger hopefully it does help to extinguish such thoughts.... I might not agree with this logic but it is something I know can happen even to the best of us....

    Is the melody of this, the lyrics, the fact that all love songs takes me places that makes this song hold a special place in my heart or maybe, just maybe it's all three factors and then some. Oxlade really went all out with More and even if you are not a fan hearing this song will definitely make your heart go ba-dum. The part that always makes me smile is the place where he says "Na you be the apple of my eyes no be iPhone" a beautiful play on words saying that although wants an iPhone which is an apple product, he still prefers her. The song is more like an assurance to love stating the fact that no matter what happens the artist will always stand by his partner under any conditions even if she's wrong and as even if he's broke she won't even notice because he will definitely come through ( something every woman wants to hear🤣🤣).

    One thing I love about Boypee's works is how he blends the Igbo language and pidgin to create a unique melody. Having the Afrobeat sensation Duncan mighty on this very song was diabolical, both artists kept delivering and at some point it gets confusing who the real owner of the song was but that's what made it all the more intriguing.
    Chikodi is more than just a song, it is a cautionary tale about a girl who was satisfied with what she got and it brought her misery in the end. Despite numerous warnings from those around her she ignores them sticking to terrible decisions to the very end taking those around her down with her. Chikodi is a really beautiful lady but even with her good looks the singers still pray they never have someone like her as an offspring...

    Listening to this song for the very first time felt so relaxing and comforting. I mean there's just something about it that makes one feel so wholesome inside and would want to give it an immediate replay. Port Harcourt boys have been thriving in the music industry for quite some time now with their own version of Afrobeats that I like to call Afro-Peace and this song happens to be one of such.
    You this feeling where someone is actually giving you assurance of their constant presence like and always and forever kinda situation right.... That is just what constantly represents. Starting off with questions which need clarification from the artists to telling that significant other that "I'll constantly be there for you even though the good and the bad and all you just have to do is show me I am investing in the right place".
    The song makes you feel all mushy inside and for me it just brought back those teenage feelings of hight school innocent love and I like it. Do listen and enjoy I believe it is worth the time.

    I get too excited about the weekends only for it to skip by extremely fast with me wondering if it was truly worth the anticipation. Sundays have become a ray of sunshine to close the weekend for me and a lot credit will have to go directly to the Creative Sunday Initiative founded by the ever loving Hive Learners Community and honestly that is why I am here again this unique Sunday to express myself with the only creative style I have in my repertoire. To celebrate I'll be performing the cover to let me love you by Justin Bieber, a song most people would say speaks to the heart.

    Starting it off with a smooth voice echoing about previous believes was the very thing that lured me into this masterpiece and since the song revolved around the theme of love, I surrendered my everything to all of it represented. Let me love you is one of Justin's best work as it incorporates the motivation to strive for the love you believe in and the strength to keep pushing even with the odds stacked against you.
    Despite being almost a decade old, the intensity of the lyrics are more than equipped to rival songs even from this very era with all the chances of staying on top.
    Let me love you, just allow me to love you that's all I ever want, that's all I ask for. I don't care if I end up on the wrong side this game as long as you know I love you and you allow me to I am already a winner. That is just what this song screams to me.     The theme for the week is cat songs and coincidentally the first song that popped into my head was shy by Jai Waetford. Reasons being that cats are creatures known for this characteristic and always want to be left alone unless they have completely bounded with their surroundings. Shy is a song about a boy who is flustered and can't even express himself to the girl he likes, can't even make eye contact but still feels all kinds of hyped up emotions when he looks at her even if it is just for a second. As a teenager songs like this always give me butterflies in my stomach and seeing that the artist was around my age bracket back then made me love it even more. The song is really relaxing and doesn't take much to understand the lyrics I just wished it got the recognition I hoped it would or the artist would blow up globally as I felt he was the next Justin Bieber 🥺🥺.

    Afrobeat has evolved over the past decade into one of the world's most popular genres and these two are part of one of its greatest contributors of artists from this era. Ruger and BNXN (buju) start off as hated rivals during their first year on the spotlight after both artists got noted for the headies award which Buju ended up winning but after Ruger's exit from Jonzing world records, the two finally make amends dropping an EP to solidify their union which the song calculate love happens to be a part of.
    Can anybody calculate love?? The answer is a hard NO. It is virtually impossible to measure something that cannot be quantified, seen or touched. Falling into the abstract category, love is only felt which brings us to the theme of the song which starts off with the singer admitting to not understanding anything serious but understands his partner regardless of her questionable lifestyle making him do the impossible - Calculate Love, a feat that has produced zero positive results but seems like the only solution illogical as it may be.

    Happy Sunday mi familia, it's a beautiful day on the hive learners Community and it's time for creativity to take control. I remain the very same @coderaikiri and for my entry to this week's edition of creative Sunday I'll be presenting an acapella to the song Liar by Camila Cabello.


    Ever since Camila left the fifth Harmony, it seems her rise to the spotlight was only a matter of time. Having amassed countless awards, liar was the one song that rein me into her catalogue. I remember listening to this song awhile back and the first thing that popped into my head was "damn I need this song in my life". Do you know what it feels like to say you won't do something ever again only to find yourself doing the exact same thing especially when it has to do with relationships and the artist says that makes her liar. It gets so bad that she does not even believe herself so he shouldn't believe her either. I have been in this very position before so I know how it feels.
    Liar is a song we all should listen to. I hope y'all enjoy my entry.
