  • ThrowBack Thursday: The last days as an Undergraduate @ Federal University Of lafia

    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=coderaikiri/ifyzdgru
Right after I got admission into Federal University Of lafia, I would constantly complain about how stressful the whole system was and how I could not wait to finish so I can move on with my life. But when I got to my final semester, it dawned on me that I was finally leaving a place that has been a major part of my life and started praying the journey would not end this quickly. The ups and downs, highs and lows were things I still miss to this very day. Some of my mates I haven't seen for a year now.... These videos are a collection of very fond memories I could find and I am sharing them to display just how important they to me. Today marks exactly one year since I graduated and I still yearn for those good times. However we can't turn back time or move backwards so I have to make do with what I have😞😞..

Thank you for being a part of it
    I hope y'all enjoy....

  • AFRI-TUNES Week 181// Davido ft Chris Brown- Blo my mind (cover)

    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=coderaikiri/yncygark
Here we are again, another week to display our musical skills and make dreams come true. Hello again, greetings everyone and welcome to another edition of Afritunes. I am @coderaikiri and for this week I'll be performing a cover to the song blow my mind by Davido and Chris Brown.

I am not really that much of a Davido fan so when the music dropped 6 years ago, I already concluded it won't be any good until my colleague from work told me to give it a try playing with me listening to the first verse on his phone. That was when I realized how wrong I was. The song wasn't good, it was great and had the potential to rock the entire music industry globally which it did.
Knowing who Chris Brown was, I am even shocked I doubted his presence alone wasn't enough to make quite the difference. The song blow my mind is exactly what the name implies. It is a metaphoric expression which elaborates on a female lover working her charms on him taking him places in order words blow his mind.
The song is really good and I bet y'all will love it if you give it a try..... Do listen and enjoy thanks
    LYRICS

  • The HL Creative Sunday Initiative: Acapella cover to Solomon's Listen up by coderaikiri

    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=coderaikiri/yorwmrmt
This sunday is extremely special .. why you ask??? The hive Learners creative Sunday Initiative is in full effect. Hello everyone welcome again to my space, I am coderaikiri a lover of music and in attempt to obey the prompt for the Sunday, I'll be displaying my creativity through the art music and to that I'll be performing an acapella to Listen up by Solomon.

I am still quite shocked how very little people know about this song when it is a gem with a massive replay value. First time I heard it I thought it was just a tiktok sound with one interesting verse and so I decided it might not be worth giving a try until I finally gave in to its temptation and have been grooving to the song ever since.

To be honest I can't really ascertain what the song actually represents. I don't know if it is a song about love, heartbreak, opening up or even a combination of all but one things for certain the artist wants the other person to listen up.
He literally starts with "told you not to fall in love with me If I won't give you everything you need". I guess he's admitting he is a flawed human but even with all his Shortcomings he knows it is not her fault he can't be everything she wants him to be but he'll try regardless.
The song is truly beautiful and I hope y'all give it a try.

  • Hive Music Community- Sadie Jean Wyd Now cover

    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=coderaikiri/hhanjufp
Hello world, greetings Hivers and salutations to the lovers of music. It has been awhile I posted here on the hive music community due to some minor setbacks but I am back where I belong. For my entry this week, I want to a song really special to me, a cover to Sadie Jean's What are you doing Now Andi hope y'all like it.

Listening to this for the first time as a tiktok song has me in my feelings for quite some time. I was scared of getting the complete version because I had been cat fished lots of times where the song ends up not as good but I decided it a try and ended up with a beautifully done song. When I took my time to listen to the song all the way from the very beginning, I got goosebumps and my love for the lyrics literally got me scared as the song was just about losing something good and it influenced me to the point where I started feeling I was gone to crash out on a lot of things I had going on in my life. In the end I had to accept the song as a warning not to screw up what I had going on in my life. Wyd now is song about break ups with hope of reunion. Sadie Jean talks about everything that she misses about relationship, all the promises they made together. She goes as far as saying she doesn't want to grow old looking back to promises they made when they were younger and for that reason alone she wants them to fix things if that's possible and to that she asks the million dollar question, what are you doing now..
I hope y'all listen and enjoy
    Thank you...

    LYRICS

I saw you in the back of my show last night
    Standing underneath the exit sign
I know it wasn't really you though
'Cause you were always in the front row
And I've been looking for love online
And maybe some of them are real good guys
They're never gonna be like you though
You set the bar above the moon so

    I don't wanna be 20 something

And still in my head about
    17 in my bedroom talking
You said that by now we'd
Paint the walls of our shared apartment
You're still everything I want and
I think we could work it out
So what are you doin' now?

Now that you finally got the job you like

I'm making money off the songs I write
I know you said that I could call you
I wonder if you wanna call too
Now that the future doesn't feel so far
It doesn't seem as wrong to want what's ours
    And after everything that's happened
I wanna put it in the past tense

    'Cause I don't wanna be 20 something

And still in my head about
    17 in my bedroom talking
You said that by now we'd
Paint the walls of our shared apartment
You're still everything I want and
I think we could work it out
So what are you doin' now?

    Are you with somebody?

    Should I even care?
    Know you're not as happy
    As when I was there
    In your faded T-shirt
    That I've kept this long
    I still hear you laughing
When I put it on, I know

    I don't wanna be 20 something

And still in my head about
    17 in my bedroom talking
You said that by now we'd
Paint the walls of our shared apartment
You're still everything I want and
I think we could work it out
So what are you doin' now?

  • ThrowBack Thursday: Memories of some of the best three weeks of my life

    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=coderaikiri/posrqjgk
So life at camp ended two days ago with every corp member heading to their place of primary assignment. However those memories we had would remain with us for the rest of my life. I remember when I first got there and was kinda disappointed by the environment. The place felt isolated and the weather was too harsh for my skin but despite this challenge, I made up my mind to make the best out of this uncomfortable condition just to make my stay lively. I participated in parades, cultural dances, choreography, drama you name it. I once snuck into the kitchen pretending I was on duty just so I could escape the screams for soldiers who were always searching for corpers who derive pleasure from deviancy. I made friends a long the way some of whom I might probably never get to see in my entire lifetime ever again due to the distance but our time together was absolutely worth it. Ikare Akoko was definitely a blast, I enjoyed every moment of it from the sound of that annoying beagle to standing in line for dinner, I love it all.

This is a quick glance to the 21 days in camp preparing to serve my country. Sit back and enjoy
    Thanks guys.

  • Hive Open Mic Week 280// westlife- Fool again by coderaikiri

    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=coderaikiri/bpecjsaw
Greetings and salutations Hivers welcome to the 280th week of the hive open mic community. I am @coderaikiri and my entry for this week's theme I'll be presenting a song cover to fool again by the Westlife so stay tuned guys.

Love songs have been my jam and that's what Westlife are all about but this time around it wasn't just about love, it was about being a sucker for it and being a loser at the end. Sometimes we find ourselves in situations where we should be extra cautious or even even we are, we don't expect it to go south and when it finally does we start self reflecting about how we could have done better.
Fool again is a song about mistakes, screwups, terrible decisions and a messy relationship. Westlife made this song into a fan favorite starting from the lyrics all the way to the music video everything about was just superb. I hope I do justice to it so just listen and enjoy..... Thanks

    LYRICS
    Baby, I know the story
    I've seen the picture
It's written all over your face
    Tell me, what's the secret
    That you've been hiding
And who's gonna take my place

    [Pre-Chorus: All, Shane]

    I should've seen it coming
    I should've read the signs
    Anyway, I guess it's over
    [Chorus: All]
I can't believe that I'm the fool again
I thought this love would never end
    How was I to know?
    You never told me
I can't believe that I'm the fool again
And I who thought you were my friend
    How was I to know?
    You never told me

    [Verse 2: Shane]

    Baby, you should've called me
    When you were lonely
When you needed me to be there
Sadly, you never gave me too many chances
To show you how much I care

  • AFRI-TUNES Week 180// Lucky Dube - Together as one (cover)

    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=coderaikiri/dctyovgt
Brand new week, brand new day that's definitely going to be filled with positivity. Greetings everyone welcome to another edition of Afritunes,I am @coderaikiri and for my entry this week I'll be singing a song song from lucky Dube titled together as one.

Dad was a massive lover of reggae with lucky Dube being his favourite artiste of this genre and that also influenced a lot of members from his family (myself included). One thing I loved the singer for was the fact that all his songs always convey deep meaningful messages and this song is no different. Voicing out his concerns about the state of South Africa back then where the Whites were segregated the blacks and gave them unfair treatments. The song encourages unity as the only method we can attain true freedom directly speaking about the harsh conditions of apartheid. He even uses cats and dogs metaphorically stating that they have forgiven each other so they can also do the impossible as well.
The song holds a special place in my heart, I hope you listen and enjoy
    Thank you
    Lyrics
    Verse 1]
    In my whole life
    My whole life
    I've got a dream
    In my whole life
    My whole life
    I've got a dream
    Too many people
    Hate apartheid
    Why do you like it?
    Too many people
    Hate apartheid
    Why do you like it?
    [Chorus]
    Hey you rasta man
    Hey European, Indian man
We've got to come together as one
    Hey you rasta man
    Hey European, Indian man
We've got to come together as one
    Hey you rasta man
    Hey European, Indian man
We've got to come together as one
    Not forgetting the Japanese

    [Verse 2]

    The cats and the dogs
    Have forgiven each other
    What is wrong with us?
    The cats and the dogs
    Have forgiven each other
    What is wrong with us?
    All those years
    Fighting each other
    But no solution
    All those years
    Fighting each other
    But no solution
    [Chorus]
    Hey you rasta man
    Hey European, Indian man
We've got to come together as one
    Hey you rasta man
    Hey European, Indian man
We've got to come together as one

    [Verse 1]

    In my whole life
    My whole life
    I've got a dream
    In my whole life
    My whole life
    I've got a dream
    Too many people
    Hate apartheid
    Why do you like it?
    Too many people
    Hate apartheid
    Why do you like it?

    [Chorus]

    Hey you rasta man
    Hey European, Indian man
We've got to come together as one
    Hey you rasta man

  • The HL Creative Sunday Initiative: Westlife Queen of my Heart (cover)

    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=coderaikiri/hsratnpn
Greetings to every hiver on the blockchain, Sunday greetings and may the best of this beautiful day be ours. It's that time of the week on the hive Learners community where individuals are allowed to showcase their talent/skills and in response to that I'll be presenting an acapella to Queen of my heart by my favorite boy band Westlife.

Boyhood was a musical journey for me since all three of my older siblings were all into music. They might have different tastes but there was no denying their collective love for Westlife and automatically, that love was transferred to their baby brother - ME. The fact that the oldest even worked in the store where movies and CD plates were sold meant we always had access to the latest stuff and we utilized this opportunity to the max.
This particular was never one I liked all that well growing up. It wasn't because the song sucked or the lyrics didn't interest me, I just didn't like the music video primarily because my favorite singer in the group gave himself a buzz cut in the music video other than that the song was spotless yet I still avoided it. Now that I am not moved by childishness anymore, I can now enjoy the song properly and that is what I intend to do today as my entry. The song holds a really special place in my heart as it is not just a part of my childhood but a story that contributed to shaping my perception of this world.
I hope I do justice to it, so listen and enjoy
    Thanks

  • ThrowBack Thursday: The first win for platoon 6 feels legendary

    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=coderaikiri/wqjyamkj
Hello everyone welcome to another edition of throwback Thursday. I am @coderaikiri and for this edition, I'll be discussing the Mr macho and Miss NYSC competition at Ikare Akoko camp Nigeria

Platoon 6 has been quite unfortunate in various competitions. We were either dead last or few struggles away from being at the top yet we always seemed to fumble when we weren't supposed and for a long time, this felt like our fate. The Mr macho and Miss Nysc competition also seemed like it was going to be another lose . However this time we only lost one out of the two.
Our representative truly came to dominate, he had it all the look, drive, built and most importantly he actually had complete/visible abs unlike the rest of the competitors and I think that was what gave him a true edge over them all..
Winning this felt really good and he was given a reward for victory. I am still pretty sad that our representative for the ladies did not win what she actually came out for but at the very least one win is better than none at all. We still have a lot of win left in us, lord knows we won't be known as the platoon with just a win on our sleeves🤣🤣.
Stay tuned and enjoy guys ..

  • AFRI-TUNES Week 179// Acapella to Lucid's Hooligan by coderaikiri

    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=coderaikiri/njizgirl
Greetings to you all this wonderful Monday, may the goodwill of this brand new day become our beacon of hope ... I am @coderaikiri and this 179th edition of Afritunes (made a mistake on my video saying 178 instead of 179 apologies this is actually the 179th). My entry this week will be a hooligan by the singer Lucid.

Have you ever gave your all into doing the right thing only to find yourself rapidly going astray??? Well this is basically the entire theme of this song. Lucid expresses how he starts off on the righteous but each time he intends to stay on this very path, life turns him into something worse, A Hooligan and the worst one at that. He is victimized by unnecessary desire for premarital sex, alcohol is a part of his feeding regiment and even his friends are wolves in sheep's clothing. It seems like life itself is literally against his success something I know a lot of people can relate to.
He doesn't stop there. Knowing he can do it on his own, he asks for the help of others to help him with prayers to stick with the change he so desperately years for. I know a lot of people have in this stage at one point in their lives or are currently going through it now. There's still hope, we can surely make it out of this level of hooliganism. So stick around and walk with me...
    LYRICS
