  • HL Creative Sunday Initiative: An acapella performance of Juice Wrld's Candles

    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=coderaikiri/nfqxuzvg
A happy Sunday to my fellow hivers, welcome to another week of creativity in the hive Learners community. It feels good to be back again, the blockchain represents individuality, self expression etc and this very community created a weekly event where people can display their skills and be themselves without limitations...... Massive kudos to every admin and facilitator of this great platform for making this a possibility, I am overwhelmed by your continuous effort keeping this a success, kudos.

For my entry this week, I'll be performing an acapella to the song candles by Juice Wrld.
Pheweew!!!! Where do I start with the description of this very song. I have said it before and I am saying it again Juice Wrld is my favorite artist and whatever he drops is mad good. He has proven time and time again that you don't need to sing about love alone to produce a massive hit. Starting it off with this absolute banger "I don't know if it is because my heart hurts or I'm insecure" has got to be one of his beast entries till date. At one point I got confused if this was a love song, heart break or just straight an expression of pain but one thing is for certain bro talked about all three and then some of you know what I mean.
Ending it up with a line that rotates around being smart enough to avoid being used. If it's a game the other person wants to play, she better be prepared because he is a professor in this very field. One thing that still amuses me till this day is the fact that the artist never mentioned the title of the song (candles) even once in the entire song and I love it 😁😁.
    Thanks for stopping by
    Happy Sunday guys
    Enjoy.....!

  • Vibes Web3 Music Competition Week 39 // Chipettes Hot N Cold Acapella version

    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=coderaikiri/xlxmyfhq
"Music doesn't come from your heart, it comes from your soul". These are the words of my favorite artist and to be fair he is actually right.

Welcome everyone to another edition of vibes Web3 Music Competition, I remain my humble self @coderaikiri and for my entry this lovely 39th edition with the theme legendary movie soundtracks, I be performing a song from the movie Alvin and the chipmunks 2 titled Hot N Cold by the Chipettes.
When I heard that the Alvin and the Chipmunks franchise were having a second season, I was thrilled because I really loved their songs. It took me about 2 years later (2012) before I got to watch the movie and the idea of adding female chipmunks into the cast made a go Gaga for it. The song hot N Cold automatically became my favorite and I made sure I learned it word for word even though the one in the movie was kinda short. Starting off as rivals the chipmunks and Chipettes were put against each other by Ian but after series of mishaps the two groups put aside their differences and worked together for the good of their school.
I know the song is not really a legendary movie soundtracks but it actually means a lot to my childhood and the man that I am today.
I hope y'all enjoy this Acapella I have in store this week, enjoy.

    LYRICS

    Verse 1]
You change your mind like a girl changes clothes
Yeah, you always dress like a chick, I would know
And you always think, always speak cryptically, yeah
I should know that you're no good for me
    Yeah, yeah, yeah

    [Chorus]

'Cause you're hot then you're cold
    You're yes then you're no
    You're in then you're out
    You're up then you're down
    You're wrong when it's right
    It's black and it's white
    We fight, we break up
    We kiss, we make up
    [Post-Chorus]
(You) You don't really wanna stay, no (Oh)
(You) But you don't really wanna go, oh (Oh)
'Cause you're hot then you're cold
    You're yes then you're no
    You're in then you're out
    You're up then you're down

    [Verse 2]

We used to be just like twins, so in sync
The same energy is now a dead battery
    Used to laugh 'bout nothing
    Now you're plain boring, yeah
I should know that you're not gonna change
    No, yeah, yeah, yeah

    [Chorus]

'Cause you're hot then you're cold
    You're yes then you're no
    You're in then you're out
    You're up then you're down
    You're wrong when it's right
    It's black and it's white
    We fight, we break up
    We kiss, we make up
    [Post-Chorus]
(You) You don't really wanna stay, no (Oh)
(You) But you don't really wanna go, oh (Oh)
'Cause you're hot then you're cold
    You're yes then you're no
    You're in then you're out
    You're up then you're down

    [Bridge]

    Oh
    Yeah, yeah, yeah
    Oh, oh, no
    Yeah
    Someone call the doctor
Got a case of a love bipolar
    Stuck on a roller coaster
    Can't get off this ride
You change your mind like a girl changes clothes

    [Chorus]

'Cause you're hot then you're cold (Hot and cold)
You're yes then you're no (Yes and no)
You're in then you're out (Oh)
You're up then you're down (Yeah)
You're wrong when it's right (Wrong and right)
It's black and it's white (Black and white)
    We fight, we break up
We kiss, we make up (Oh, yeah)
    [Post-Chorus]
(You) You don't really wanna stay, no (Oh)
(You) But you don't really wanna go, oh (Oh) (Oh, don't wanna go)
You're hot then you're cold (Oh)
You're yes then you're no (Yes and no)
    You're in then you're out
You're up then you're down (Oh, up and down)

    [Chorus]

'Cause you're hot then you're cold
    You're yes then you're no
    You're in then you're out
    You're up then you're down
    You're wrong when it's right
    It's black and it's white
    We fight, we break up
    We kiss, we make up

    [Post-Chorus]

(You) You don't really wanna stay, no (Oh)
(You) But you don't really wanna go, oh (Oh)
'Cause you're hot then you're cold (Hot and cold)
You're yes then you're no (Yes and no)
    You're in then you're out
You're up then you're down (Oh, you're up then you're down)

  • ThrowBack Thursday: Representing my group at Ikare Akoko camp Ondo

    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=coderaikiri/iqpeilve
Hello everyone welcome to another edition of throwback Thursday. I am @coderaikiri and for this edition, I'll be discussing about me dancing cultural.

So late last month I was called to serve my country Nigeria which is compulsory for every graduate. I came to Ondo state with the intention to participate in everything and with that I decided to join in on the cultural dance and represent my group ( platoon 6) on an intergroup competition which started on Monday.
The competition stated off really slow especially since my platoon looked really unserious and were always bickering. However one thing that stood out was the point that they always showed out despite coming late though. With time there were signs of effort on their end and after series of practice, I was starting to see traces of hope in the team. I still concluded that were going to lose due to the lack of enough practice but when the evening of reconning arrived, we went on stage and gave it our all. Just sit back and watch how everything played out.
Thanks for stopping by and untill next time, stay flexy.

  • Hive open mic week 278// 2face nfana ibaga cover

    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=coderaikiri/hivzpvpr
Greetings my fellow lovers of the hive blockchain, I am @coderaikiri and for my entry to this week's edition of Hive Open Mic I'll be presenting a song from 2face Idibia title nfana ibaga ..... Stay tuned

I remember when the first version of this song first came out years, it became the talk of the country and all for the wrong reasons. People were not hyping it for its beauty or incredible lyrics, rather it was being used as a form of ridicule to the artist saying he does not bath. He just wakes up, brush his teeths put on a piece of clothing then step into the street.... The teasing was sooo funny that the artist had to redo the song years later and insert the word "this time I take a shower and I step into the street". It just goes to show the level of silliness on both ends and I love it.
I hope you all listen and enjoy
I still remain my humble self
    Stay flexy guys.

  • AFRI-TUNES Week 178// Acapella cover to Oxlade Away by coderaikiri

    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=coderaikiri/mqecibmo
Greetings to you all this lovely Monday, it's a brand new week and with the new week comes a new edition in this wonderful community. I still remain my humble person @coderaikiri and for entry this week I'll be performing an acapella to Away by Oxlade so stay tuned guys.

People who have been a fan to this artiste knows that away is his break out song into the musical spotlight after years of dedication and effort. Starting off as the ultimate underdog, Oxlade was able to use his beautiful voice, lyrical genuine and consistency to get the recognition he deserves. Away is more than just a song, it is the beginning of a legacy.
Just like the name implies, the song away speaks about taking someone special to you far from all the noise restricting the beauty that comes with being in love. No distractions, outside party or limitations, just two people who believe that they are right for each other the way it should be.
This was my number one song in Oxlade's arsenal with my favorite part being where he said "give me love give me proper, give me sugar give me tender"- Tell me does a love song get better than this??? I think not🤣🤣.
So I hope you all enjoy my presentation to this song
    Stay tuned
    Stay blessed and
    Stayyyyy flexy.
    Lyrics
Let us go far away, miles away, far away
To a place where no one can dictate how we play

Away away away away away away away away away away away away away away away away

Girl I wanna be your owner

Girl after you, game over (over over)
    I don't really Care if you're older
Baby come rest pon mi shoulder
    Oh no

Let us go far away, miles away, far away

To a place where no one can dictate how we play

Let us go far away, miles away, far away

To a place where no one can dictate how we play

Away away away away away away away away away away away away away away away away

Give me love, give me proper

Give me Shugar, give me tender
    Anything you want I offer
Baby say no more don't bother
    (Atutupoyoyo)

Let us go far away, miles away, far away

  • HL Creative Sunday Initiative: Juice Wrld - A cover to Underworld

    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=coderaikiri/vupcspbj
Hello and a happy Sunday to every hiver here on the blockchain, I can feel it in my bones today is going to be an absolutely memorable one.

I am @coderaikiri and this is my own entry for the creative Sunday edition on hive Learners Community and to that I'll be presenting an acapella song cover of Underworld by juice works
Juice Wrld became my favorite artist in 2018, It didn't just happen I had to listen to a few of his songs and thought they were ok. What really made me a fan was when I heard empty for the first time that right there was the starting point of my love for the artist going as far as becoming my number even after his death in 2020 (May his soul Rest in Peace). Usually when I make someone my best artist, there's this one song I tend to love most but with this guy everything just hits different making it super difficult to choose. However I do have a top 20 and in my opinion Underworld falls within that category.
The entry at the begining was mad : DEMON GIRL HOW COME YOU HOLD ME CLOSE I LIKE IT DONT LET GO. This is the stuff of legends, imagine going through the motions and this song is jamming through a boom box !!!! Gosh that's wild. This is more than a song of love, it is more than heartbreak, this is powerful. It is like knowing someone is bad for you, knowing that person is going to hurt you but you still can't help yourself around. "Here we go it was all heaven just a week ago, now am up in hell with my eyes closed"- repercussions of bad decisions obviously šŸ˜…šŸ˜…. Till this day I still haven't found an artist that makes me feel half the way this guy does. His songs don't make me feel like dancing, they make my soul ache.... Thank you for everything you did with your song because for the first time you made me understand that I am not the only one going through that kind pain, I will forever miss you😭😭.
Thank you all for stopping by guys.

  • Hive open mic week 277// Chris Brown Question cover by Coderaikiri

    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=coderaikiri/vxrlwahu
Greetings my fellow lovers of the hive blockchain, welcome to another week on the open mic community. The theme for this week is "Summer Love" and to that I'll be doing a cover to question by Chris Brown.

For music lovers and people who are fans of RnB and western hip pop songs during the early 2000s will immediately recognize the familiarities between it and Kevin Lyttle’s Turn Me On from 2003. Question is most definitely a sample of Turn me on with a dancehall/ reggae vibe to polish it up even more.
Next thing to notice is the catchy rhythms, summer style that makes you feel like it is most definitely a groove. Starting it off with "From the moment you were dancing at the party", you already know you are about to get caught up with something that'll push you to dancing, singing and screaming at the same time once you get to learn the lyrics to this beauty.
Summer Love is energetic, raw, sensation, beautiful, alluring and many more, all of which this song represents. At some point I nearly felt it was 100% better than the original, however I still don't want to downplay the beauty of what came before QUESTION.
The song is definitely a must listen, give it a shot and I bet you won't be stuck asking questions.
Thanks for stopping by stay flexy guys
    Lyrics

Greetings and salutations my fellow hivers, welcome to my blog I am @coderaikiri, an intense music lover with the intention to share my musical creativity this lovely Sunday. My entry will be a song cover to how do you sleep.

Pheweew!!!! Where do I start with Sam Smith sef, the guy has been one of my favorites since I first listened to stay with me in 2014. I think I heard the song on the radio back then but had no idea what the name was so I just searched up his name until I eventually stumbled on what my heart yearned for........

There is just something about this guy carries his songs, that makes you feel every single emotion and picture the events like they happened right in front of you. Have you ever given your all to somebody only to get nothing but pain and heartache in return???? That's exactly what this song represents. Sometimes, the one person that is supposed to be your haven ends up becoming the very to your ruin and you begin to wonder how do they even sleep well at night knowing that are literally the cause of your torment....
The song is not calls out uncommitted lovers, it is also a crybfor help and for some reason I totally understand because I have there countless times and that is why the song resonates with my person..

  • Vibes Web3 Music Competition Week 38 // Chris Brown Side Nigga (cover)

    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=coderaikiri/fgzuqwvg
Greetings everyone welcome to the 38th edition of vibes Web3 Music Competition, I am @coderaikiri and my entry this week is a cover to the song side nigga.

This song is a clear depiction of what is happening in this contemporary society in terms of relationships. A lot of young people out there don't want to be committed when it comes to the affairs of the heart, it is a very common feature nowadays but this song leans on the affairs from the masculine side. Most dudes who practice the subtle art of being side dudes when the girl is obviously in a serious relationship are victims of heartbreaks from previous relationships. After being hurt, cheated on and broken, they decide to take a step back, enjoy all the privileges of a boyfriend without ever becoming one. While the rest are just players who do not see the necessity of being serious with a lady.
The artist talks about how he doesn't need to be in a rush to get to see the lady because she might be with her partner but whenever he wants her around she definitely come around. He might not be boyfriend material but he doesn't mind being the side nigga of the year🤣🤣🤣🤣. It's so funny how cheating has been so normalized that people sing about it and it fully accepted by the public.
I might not agree with what the song represents but I'll acknowledge that it's very nicely done...... Maybe I used to concur with it at some point in my life, however I don't anymore..
I hope y'all listen and enjoy it for what it is thanks
    Lyrics
    [Verse 1]
    Sit back, lay down
    Relax, kick back
    Curfew, know that
    He's mad at you because
You been spendin' all your time with me
'Cause he don't give you what you need
    Too bad, so sad
It be like that, oh, well
    I'm glad, I like that
    She had every opportunity
To choose between you and me
    Alright, let me see
    What's it gonna be?
    [Chorus]
No, she ain't my, ain't my, ain't my girl (It don't matter, no)
Ain't my, ain't my (No), ain't my girl
No matter what, I'ma give her all my love
She a pain in the butt, sick and tired of the runnin'
With the same old dirty white lies
    Tossin' in my bed (Ooh)
    Rememberin' what she said (Ooh)
I know she got a man at home (I don't care)
I'll be the side nigga of the year

    [Post-Chorus]

    Did you hear me, babe?
    Your side of the year

  • ThrowBack Thursday: FYB week at Federal University Of lafia

    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=coderaikiri/ioavdnla
So early this week I decided to go visit my cousin who's still in school and drop off a few things he'll definitely be needing before the commencement of their exams. I arrived on Sunday afternoon, bath, got dressed and went out to see a friend. When I got to his place he told me that this was actually their week as final year students where they get to engage in countless events which involved dressing up to a particular theme every week. It started with corporate wears on Monday, old school/ customs on Tuesday, sports on Wednesday and lots more till a talent show on Friday. He invited me to come buy I told him I would not be staying that long but after much considerations I decided to give it a try.

On Tuesday I went with him just to take pictures and enjoy the different looks from various students. I wasn't planning on taking pictures until I saw a very familiar face, one I know will always do something unusual. After five years in school I never got to know his name or department but I knew what he represented, pure comedy. He was dressed as a school girl dancing aggressively in front of every one and I wasted no time recording his dance moves.
There were also other people displaying what they got, dancing, vibing and enjoying their last days as undergraduates.... I laughed, smiled, fought off some folks from overwhelming and had extreme fun........ It was truly a remarkable day. There's more coming and I plan to enjoy it all before heading back home
