    Come one, come all welcome to this week's edition of Hive Open Mic, I am @coderaikiri and for my entry I'll doing an acapella to the spiritual healing from 2face.

    Before you try fixing the world, always remember to heal yourself first. From the begining of the song one would thing it's actually a love song untill you keep ears down and your open, then you'll understand the beauty of the world. There is no better form of healing that transcends peace and 2baba acknowledges that. He hits it off saying fighting has always been part of the human race and if we all keep poking the eyes of our neighbors, the whole world will definitely go blind and what makes it all worse is the fact that people clash over the wrong reasons.
    Let love lead, forgiveness is always underrated but it can definitely spare the world from a lot of avoidable issues. It is not easy but if we are ready to do what's right one person at a time the healing will also cleanse our spirit. This is what the artist was trying to make people see in the entirety of the song.

    Greetings everyone welcome yet again to the hive music platform where Musical artistry is best expressed. I am @coderaikiri and I'll be performing an acapella version to Justin Bieber's what do you mean.

    2015 was legendary and to me Justin was the poster boy for that era. My first encounter with the song was from its music video which started with a scene of Justin and a rough individual striking a deal. It then moves to a motel room where justin sits on a bed and poors his heart out to along the question "What do you mean". The music video was simple but unique, everything about it screams emotions. However the one thing that drew me to the song was the hair...... Gosh I was totally mesmerized by it and I kid you not I unsuccessfully made attempts to mimic it countless times just to burn a massive portion of my hair.
    What do you mean was a massive transition from Justin's usual pattern into something smooth and calm. At what point I thought he had mouth issues as I barely saw his lips move🤣🤣🤣🤣. The song is truly great I hope y'all enjoy it.

    Hello everyone it's a new week and y'all know what time it is, welcome to the 176th edition of Afritunes. I am @coderaikiri with an entry for fill my void. I'll be presenting an incredible song from Burna boy titled science.

    Naming a song that has to do with the chemistry between two people has to be the definition of peak genius. Initially I thought the song would centre around working in a lab or mixing drugs but I got the shocker of the century instead as it was focused on intimacy instead which made even better. It is no secret that Burnaboy is an Afrobeats superstar but dropping something like this you can't help but agree that man deserves receiving his accolades.
    The song is a part of the love Damini album and it literally decimated earning the spot of being top two of the album in my books. The entry of the song is enough to get heads bopping, legs shaking and body grooving, the exact that happened.
    Everything about it screams perfection, I still listen to it anytime my mood is sky high or I feel like dancing. Give it a shot I bet y'all won't regret it.

    Hello fam, welcome again to the Gems community.... Woooah!!! It's been awhile out here but I still remain my humble self @coderaikiri and I'll be taking y'all down the journey of my love for music.

    I'll never forget about this because it is a crucial part of my boyhood. I may be a little kid then but this memory will forever be etched inside my big head.
    Having three elder sisters was no easy task, I had to either like what they did or stay creeped up in a corner as it took my my parents 7 off years before giving a younger sibling (brother). Back in the day my eldest sister was actually my favorite sibling (she still in is), at one point I even thought she was my legitimate mother and my mom was my granny.she worked at a movie rental store where she brought lots of music CDs which I had to both watch and listen to.
    In 2008 she brought a DJ mix of American hip pop and blues. My favorite song in the entire collection was no air as it had my hero Chris Brown on it and bro literally killed the feature. Since then I don't play with Chris Breezy for real.
    So I'll be using this opportunity to express myself with a song that means the world to me since that is all hive is all about self expression.

  • Throw Back Thursday : Saying Goodbye is never easy

    Hello everyone welcome back to this week's edition of throwback Thursday. I am coderaikiri and this is my entry for the week so stay tuned.

    When I first started this teaching gig, I always told myself it was going to be temporary and so bonding with the kids was absolutely unnecessary but I did not shut them out. The job was extremely difficult at first and the only thing that kept me going was the salary at the end of the tunnel. However as I continued with the job, I found myself falling for everything, getting attached to the kids and Lowkey becoming a part of who I am.
    When the semester ended last week and the kids came with their parents to collect their results as they would be moving from the second to the third grade, I felt like crying badly as I was absolutely going to miss them. I had already submitted my resignation letter about a month ago and this was my final term with the school but the kids did not know that, I decided to make a little video with them as a little token for time well spent. Saying goodbye is never easy and finally I am starting to understand how parents feel when their children are old enough to leave the house. So stay tuned and enjoy the video until we meet again next time

    Ever had like some sort of fantasy about how the future would be like if it is with the right person that just gets you?? Well that is what falling like the stars is simply all about. The song is some form of expression filled with imaginations of what would be if this two lovers actually tie the nut. A thrilling part would be him dreaming about four kids in his sleep and each sit on the laps of their parents.
    The falling like the stars is just a symbolism of crashing in love. When you automatically click with the right person there is no time for hesitation or even proceeding with caution, you instantly fall deep with everything just like the stars do and if it is right, y'all keep heading towards the right direction until finally boom it's a 50 years anniversary celebration 🤣🤣.

    Greetings and salutations Hivers welcome to the 275th week of the hive open mic community. I am @coderaikiri and my entry for this week's theme I'll be presenting a song cover to shape of my heart by the back street boys so stay tuned guys.

    Shape of my heart was never really my song back as a boy largely because my eldest sister head over heels for it and would play it atleast 7 times daily. I did not understand what was so special about it at all but I still listened to it in the first place. The backstreets boy being my third favorite boy band right behind Westlife and NSYNC made things even worse. I listened to their songs regardless as I was stuck with watching the song videos or doing nothing. I learnt the song after consistently watching em, it was during my teenage phase that I started to appreciate the song even more and now I am still trying to show her the shape of my heart.
    The song is filled with regrets from avoidable mistakes, the will to change and a chance to make it all happen, do love songs get better yes?? Probably yes but I still enjoy blues from the 90s and early 2000s as they pack more emotion and even feel like they reflect more on what a love story should feel like

    After breaking into the public scene of music with the song Away, Oxlade continues to drop consistent bangers and this song happens to be one of them. The song dropped during my third year in school and has been pretty special to me since then. As a huge fan of love songs, this fits my person very very well.
    More like the name represents asking for more from a love interest for a wholesome relationship regardless of mistakes that may occur. I love the part we're he said "I no dey belle full, if I see you today I go see you tomorrow" as it the artist is just trying to say he can not get enough of being close to that special someone even if it means seeing them every single day. The lyrics of the song is simple yet extremely catchy to lure the attention of listeners.

    A very happy Sunday to my fellow hivers, welcome to the creative Sunday Initiative on hive learner where everybody is given a chance to display whatever skill dey possess. For my own entry into this wonderful activity, I'll be doing a cover to lucid dream by the artist juice wrld.

    Seven years ago I stumbled on an artist while I was lazily looking for something to watch as it was just another boring Sunday after. I was still a teenager then and so I decided to just watch music videos on MTV Base and the moment I switched to the channel, the very song that was just happened to Lucid dreams, this was my first encounter with Juice Wrld. At first I thought the song sounded off, different from what I was used too and grew up loving but as I listened to the very end I realized this was more than just a song, this song was a clear reflection of my personal love because I was going through a really messy break up.

    Lucid dreams was more than just a song to call out an unworthy partner, it was more like a cry for help - something I desperately needed at that point. The most painful part about everything was the fact that I ended up wanting this person despite every pain she caused just like the artist and that made me love him even more.

    After listening to the song I decided to look for more of his works and found out his songs were the very things I needed to cope : war against love. Juice Wrld did not just sing about love , bro talked about things that hurt him, things he can't stop like drug abuse, anxiety, depression etc. I may not relate with him on a lot of things but I was able to channel my pain into something productive and that is one reason he still remains my favorite artist to this very day, May his soul Rest in Peace.

    Greetings everyone welcome to the 37th edition of vibes Web3 Music Competition, I am @coderaikiri and my entry this week is a cover to Akon's Lonely.

    Released in 2004, Lonely was more than just a global sensation but also a household anthem played repeated even by people who had no idea what he was saying. I remember still being a child during that period, I could barely sing the song at all but I did know how to respond to the lyrics whenever it popped up on the radio, television or the CD my elder sister bought.
    The song represents a big part of my childhood and still has a strong hold on my person. At the fundamental level, it simply expresses mistakes made by the artist towards his significant other pushing her to leave the house while he is still asleep. This breaks him down after realizing that the whole problem was entirely his fault and he needs to correct his mistakes, make up for everything so that she can come back to him.
    It is never easy for people to admit their errors especially with issues relating to love but the artist was not blinded this letting himself go completely so that things will go back to normal and even get an upgrade as long as he can eradicate this loneliness he is currently experiencing.
    The has it all - incredible lyrics, good vocals from vocals, storytelling and that replay factor that keeps bringing you back and I am grateful it was a big part of my childhood.
