A new survey release by Indeed and Harris Poll shows that nearly 40% of Gen Z and millennial workers (ages 18-34) said they would leave a job because of political differences at work, and 40% said they would leave if their CEO expressed political views they disagreed with. Overall, 28% of workers would consider resigning over political differences, and 32% might leave if the CEO expressed views they disagreed with, Indeed found.

It’s rare for everyone in a workplace to share the same political views. Employees who find themselves in the political minority may feel trapped in a toxic work environment if it’s not handled properly. The survey found that 39% of respondents experienced social pressure to align with a particular political perspective at work. Additionally, 39% reported instances of discrimination or harassment based on their political beliefs, and nearly 16% admitted to avoiding colleagues who hold different political views.

“We’ve decided that we’re going to return to being in the office the way we were before the onset of COVID,” CEO Andy Jassy says in a memo sent to staff on Monday. Employees have been required to work from the office three days per week since May 2023, and Jassy says that “if anything, the last 15 months we’ve been back in the office at least three days a week has strengthened our conviction about the benefits.”

At $700 and without a disc drive or stand, the PS5 Pro has sparked vociferous debate online about whether Sony is justified in setting such a high price for the mid-gen upgrade. IGN readers have already had their say on the PS5 Pro's $700 cost, but what’s enabled Sony to be so bold with its pricing?

According to one prominent analyst, there are a number of factors that have contributed to Sony going for $700 (and, relatively, even higher in Europe and Japan). Piers Harding-Rolls, games industry analyst at Ampere, said the PS5 Pro pricing reflects Sony’s adjusted strategy to protect its margin (that is, it is unwilling to sell consoles at a loss), supply chain inflation, and, crucially, “a lack of direct competitor to its mid-cycle upgrade compared to last generation (where Microsoft was preparing the Xbox One X).”

Dr. Disrespect—aka Guy Beahm—Dr Disrespect didn't have a good time playing Deadlock today.

Earlier today, the Two-Time announced that he'd be streaming Deadlock, Valve's hero shooter-slash-MOBA. The playtest has been getting rave reviews so Doc felt it made sense to check it out. Unfortunatley, it didn't go as planned.

On September 11, Dr Disrespect started up the game and completed the required tutorial. He then tried out a few different heroes in bot matches. Once he felt he got the hang of the "future of multiplayer gaming," he jumped into a real match.

Original story: Heaven 17 singer Martyn Ware claims that Rockstar Games only offered $7,500 to use the band's 1983 hit song Temptation in the upcoming GTA 6 "forever" - a proposition he refused because of GTA 5's outlandish success.

"I was recently contacted by my publishers on behalf of Rockstar Games [about] the possibility of using [the song] Temptation on the new Grand Theft Auto 6," Ware recently tweeted.

Dr. Disrespect—aka Guy Beahm—has been in the news again, nearly four years after he was banned from Twitch in 2020, the online streaming platform where he made a found fame and notoriety. Now it sounds like the popular streamer may be calling it quits indefinitely.

The reason for the ban was never revealed by Twitch or Dr. Disrespect, though the latter took the streaming platform to court over the ban, while the former paid out Beahm’s contract. Years passed. History became legend. Legend became myth.

Then, on June 22nd, 2024 former Account Director of Strategic Partnership at Twitch, Cody Conners, tweeted “[Dr. Disrespect] got banned because [he] got caught sexting a minor in the then-existing Twitch whispers product. He was trying to meet up with her at TwitchCon. The powers that be could read in plain text.”

The U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, and Christie M. Curtis, Acting Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI’s New York Field Office, announced the unsealing of a three-count indictment against Michael Smith, who allegedly created hundreds of thousands of artificial intelligence (AI)-generated songs and used automated “bot” programs to stream these songs billions of times, fraudulently obtaining more than $10 million in royalties.

Smith was arrested and will appear before a U.S. Magistrate Judge in North Carolina.

In the U.S., some Canva Teams subscribers on older pricing plans are seeing the sticker price for a five-person plan jump from $119.99 per year to $500 per year (with a 40% discount for the first 12 months). In Australia, meanwhile, the flat $39.99 AUS (about $26) per-month fee for up to five users has been raised to $13.50 AUS for each user.

In a not-so-shocking development, a viral TikTok trend once again proved to be little more than a stupid stunt that ruined the lives of the impressionable.

The trend involved people taking advantage of a glitch in JPMorgan Chase ATMs that allowed users to deposit a check - without the available funds - and immediately have access to the money listed on it.

This is check fraud, but was shared across TikTok as a fun way to grab free money.

In reality, Chase really did have a glitch allowing the exploitation of its ATMs, but the company fixed the problem within days of its discovery, according to a representative who spoke to the New York Post.

“We are aware of this incident, and it has been addressed. Regardless of what you see online, depositing a fraudulent check and withdrawing the funds from your account is fraud, plain and simple,” the spokesperson said.
