This is our first episode of April's book, House of Earth and Blood from the Crescent City series by Sarah J. Maas. We dive into chapters 1-14 and talk all things Crescent City! We meet our main characters, Bryce and Hunt, question how much we are willing to put up with for a bottle of wine, are touched by tragedy, perplexed by how many drugs magical creatures take, concerned for Bryce's well being wearing stiletto heels and in general. We get some history on a past rebellion, a little of Hunts backstory and finally we are outraged by the opinion of a fictional character.

In this episode, we discuss the end of the first book in the All Souls Series - A Discovery of Witches from Chapter 34 onward. In this section, Diana gets a message from her dead mother, gets faint at the thought of becoming a mother, Matthew gets stalked by an ex, the house just wants everyone to get along, and Diana just wants to consummate her marriage already! Oh, and Matthew almost dies, then he almost (accidentally) kills Diana. We end with them going back in time.

She then gets savagely whisked away, takes a beating, sees some ghosts but luckily Matthew (and Baldwin) are there to save the day! Diana and Matthew go to stay in her fun childhood home and set off some magical fireworks.
