Cogitations

Paul preached the Word to the church in Corinth for free and regretted it, not for how it affected him, but for how it affected them. Take a listen as I draw a thought for us from this principle found in God's Word.

I had a good conversation today with a fellow about the power of God's Word. He asked a question about signs and wonders. This podcast episode is pretty much my answer to him. I hope you are edified by it.

This question doesn't come up very often out of pure practicality. However, it does come up some. I hope I answer whether or not deacons can be appointed in a congregation with no elders in a balanced and correct way from Scripture. Let me know what you think after you consider what I have said in the episode.

This episode is a continuation from yesterday's. In this episode we talk about why we do what we do and why the We Talk Truth group exists. I hope you are informed and edified.

This episode is as much to showcase the We Talk Truth group as it is to work through a question. The question has to do with one man serving in two different elderships. Can he do it and be right in the eyes of God. I'm not sure. This episode I kind of ramble through some things that were going through my mind. Let me know what you think.

This question comes up more during the holiday season in the USA. I hope in this episode I give some practical Scriptural guidelines as to how to treat relatives and other loved ones who have either been withdrawn from or have quietly left the faith. Let me know what you think.

This is audio pulled from my Monday night livestream. These are just some of my thoughts from over the years teaching about modesty in the Lord's church. I hope I have been fair and balanced and have edified you in some way.

This one has been on my mind for awhile. Have we gotten stuck in a rut of doing something the same way just because we have always done it the same way? Does the way we typically evangelize hold up to scrutiny? Take a listen and let me know what you think.

Will folk in hell be confused as to why they are there? On one hand this is a cut and dry question answered easily with a yes or no. However, this is Cogitations, we will discuss the two perspectives from which either a yes or no can be correct. I hope you are edified. Let me know what you think.

I hope this episode finds you well and blessed this holiday season. Here I share some of my thoughts of the importance of being grateful. I pray you are edified.

Thank you,
