Cold Callers Comedy

Episode 22
The Last Straw
English is weird, isn't it? The language, we mean... possibly much of its people too. But where did some of our most used idioms and phrases come from? Well... we don't explore that (probably should) in this episode. What we do do (haha we said "do do") is talk about which ones confuse/annoy us the most... and then we have an idiom battle... of sorts.
Join us as we pay a little tribute to the late, great actor Sir Ian Holm, discover Ryan's highlight of the week and come a play our 1 star review game. See if you guess the movies before we do!

Episode 21
HUMBLE BRAG
“I hate my lambo! Police is ALWAYS pulling me over just cuz its a lambo so they always think I’m speeding but I’m not!! Then they let me go!”
This is a wonderful example of a humble brag. Humble because they're telling you they've been stopped by police... a total brag because they wanted to let you know they own a Lamborghini.
This is just one topic of our podcast this week.  A podcast we tried to cram as much good stuff into as possible, including what has become a new mainstay... the "Why Did They Give It One Star?" Movie Review game.
Hope you enjoy the show this week. We certainly enjoyed putting it together, anyway!
Be careful out there. And watch you don't humble brag.

Episode 20
Livestream
Cold Callers embark on their boldest move yet, by attempting to livestream the recording of a podcast episode. Was it a success? Well... you're going to have to listen and find out. We take 15 mins to talk about the BLM movement. Yes... this is a comedy podcast, but this was an issue we felt needed talking about. If you also feel passionate about it, here are some links below for charities or organisations that fight against racism that you can donate to:

Episode 19
From Durham with Love
This is an important update from the Government. Cold Callers are still grinding out their podcasts week in, week out. And will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. They pose no threat to everyday life, and could quite easily be slotted into your routine. Whether you work from home, work on the way to work or work at work, take a break, relax, pop on the kettle and shut away the world.
In this episode we can't help but discuss the current pandemic situ, the most appropriate time to propose to someone, we have Ryan's highlight of the week and take a movie each that raised the standard... and read out 1 star reviews left for them.
All in an hours (or under) work by Cold Callers Comedy. Enjoy.

Cold Callers: Civil War
The conclusion of our Marvel Special episodes. We go to war... with each other... debating the highs and lows (of which there aren't many) of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Naturally, we go off topic but we do try to bring it back to the matters at hand in this ultra long episode. Sit down, strap in, or go for a walk and pop this on.
If you disagree with anything that we say in this episode... please feel free to tell us your opinion. Message us on instagram (@coldcallers_comedy) or twitter (@coldcallers). Or find us on facebook (@coldcallerscomedy).

Episode XV
Fancy A Cuppa?!
Fancy A Cuppa?! is an in-depth discussion about tea. Is it what makes us quintessentially British? Or is that racism? Either way we talk about tea.
We also talk about juice. And by juice we mean OJ.... OJ Simpson. Yeah... we went there.
And in a worlds first, we showcase the new theme song for Grocer Greg... coming to a street near you.

EPISODE 14
"At the End of the Day, Yeah"
At the end of the day, yeah, it's better for you to listen to the podcast and not get distracted by reading this. Because... truth be told... we never know what to write here to be honest. It's... Comedy... Apparently.... and ... it's the same sort of thing here as in other episodes... but newer. We discuss new jobs, checking ourselves regularly... and A new segment is born. 'Ryan's Highlight of the Week', which is a riveting insight to the life and times of Ryan in Lockdown.
Side note - Apologies for the sound in background... Couldn't get rid of it... Someone decided to mow the lawn.... pretty much all day it seemed.
Please enjoy. And if you enjoy... share!

Stay At Home
If you're listening to this... it had better be from the comfort of your own.  However we will accept the possibility of you tuning in on your way to your KEY work... and then home again. Or maybe on your way to your extremely necessary shop.... and home again. Or perhaps out on your 'once per day' allotted jog, run or walk... and home again. But other than that. STAY AT HOME!

Wherever you are (it had better be at home (unless you're listening after lockdown has ended sometime in the future)) please enjoy the show!
