The effort was back after it went missing during the Avalanche matchup against the Toronto Maple Leafs. But it still wasn't enough for the Colorado Avalanche as they dropped their 4th straight game in a loss to the Vegas Golden Knights, 3-2.

The Avalanche had opportunities but again couldn't capitalize on them. Two hit posts and 0-5 on the power play won't get it done against a team like Vegas.

Despite the loss, you do get the feeling that the Avs are getting back to their old form and are this close to the scales tipping back in the Avs favor. We will see in a few days in Vancouver.
