For this episode, Comic Talkers Mari and Brandon round up Justice League Month by introducing a new segment to the podcast called History Through Comics. The purpose of History of Comics is to show that you can learn more about history through the eyes of a comic book. That comic books can be utilized as a tool to help students understand the purpose of learning history. And what better way to start this segment off than with Darwyn Cooke's "DC: The New Frontier." This six-issue mini-series was released from March 2004 to November 2004 written and drawn by the late, great, Darwyn Cooke. This story takes us back to the Silver Age of Comics from the years that followed World War II to the early 1960's and shows how historical events that transpired during this time affected the superhero community.
