Mike embarks on the first 5 issues of the War Of The Bounty Hunters 34-issue crossover event, which this month form “the prelude”! This story takes place just after Empire Strikes Back; carbonite-frozen Han Solo is stolen from Boba Fett on his way to collecting the bounty from Jabba The Hutt and now the whole galaxy is after Solo, including Luke & Chewie, Darth Vader, Doctor Aphra, Beilert Valance, Dengar and many other bounty hunters - this is the crossover event of the decade, so is not one to be missed!
This story is set just after Empire Strikes Back (& after the first runs of the Star Wars, Darth Vader & Doctor Aphra comics) and the reading order is WoBH Alpha>SW13>BH12>DV12>DA10.
WoBH Alpha was released 5th May 2021, it written by Charles Soule with Steve McNiven as artist and Laura Martin as colour artist. SW13 was released 12th May 2021, it was written by Charles Soule with Ramon Rosanas as artist and Rachelle Rosenberg as colour artist. BH12 was released 19th May 2021, it written by Ethan Sacks with Paolo Villanelli as artist and Arif Prianto as colour artist. DV12 was released 26th May 2021, it written by Greg Pak with Guiu Vilanova as artist and Dean White as colour artist along with Giada Marchiso.
DA10 was released 26th May 2021, it written by Alyssa Wong with Ray-Anthony Heigh as penciller, Victor Olazaba as inker and Rachelle Rosenberg as colour artist.
Check out the last episode of SWCIC where Mike embarked on the penultimate Doctor Aphra story-arc from the 2016 run; The Unspeakable Rebel Superweapon! In addition to detailing what this superweapon is, these issues give backstory to Aphra’s relationship with her mother and shows a huge amount of trickery & madness (as standard with Aphra), plus Mike gives information on RA-7 protocol droids, Gigorans, the Empire’s Gallery Of Peace and more!
Check out Mike’s Patreon, where he releases 1 or 2 episodes of his “Afterthoughts” a week (with 3 episodes now *FREE* to anyone: season 1 of The Witcher, The Phantom Menace & Spider-Man 3!), plus there are unsplit full-length episodes of GCC, additional photos (including early access to photos of comics for this very show) and more, so if you want to support the show and get more content, check it out at http://patreon.com/genuinechitchat
Keep an eye out for the Comics In Motion Book Club, releasing soon, with the first episode tackling the first volume of the 2017 Darth Vader comic run!

TV & Movie Reviews: Darkman (1990)
The guys go back to 1990 and review the Sam Raimi character - Dark Man starring Liam Neeson. A reviewers dream movie but does it stand up 31 years later?
Plot Summary:
Peyton Westlake is a scientist who has discovered a way to produce synthetic skin. This could revolutionise skin grafting, except for one minor glitch; the synthetic skin degrades after 100 minutes of exposure to light. When gangsters attack Peyton, he is horrifically burnt, and assumed dead. In his quest for revenge, Peyton, aka the Darkman, is able to take on the appearance of anyone (using the synthetic skin,) but he only has 100 minutes per disguise.

Don Chin went to Eureka High School with Parsonavich. They both later attended Humboldt State University in Arcata, California, where Chin was a journalism major. The two created Adolescent Radioactive Black Belt Hamsterswhile still in college. Chin also co-owned a comic book store, Comic Castle, and worked on several other comics, including Overload, Comics Review, Cracked, The Telegraph Wire, The Comic Buyer's Guide, Enchanter, Stargate, Choke and Strip Tease.
He actually gave his phone number out in the second issue of ARBBH and invited fans to call him.
His early influences were Charles Schultz, Berke Breathed, Gary Larson, and Woody Allen.
He often appears in the ARBBH comics as himself. He is usually portrayed as a slight, neat figure in comparison with the disheveled Parsonavich. His in-comic self is usually the butt of jokes about the quality and non-politically-correct nature of the comic.
Comics in Motion is now a Humble Bundle Partner.

We've been Binging Buffy, but now it's time to take a look at something contemporary and current. So, where better to start than with a show you could elevator pitch as Victorian Buffy meets X-Men? That's what we thought.
Join JAC as he breaks down each episode and considers whether it's a show worth your time in this era of episodic abundance or whether you should never.
Each episode he is joined by a special guest so they can provide their unique perspective. For episode 5. Hanged, JAC is joined by regular Seasons Greetings co-host Tony Farina to celebrate the wonderful cast performances and critique the abundance of plot.
Full spoilers throughout for the episode.
If you want to get in touch with JAC about this episode or any other area of fandom he can be found on twitter under the handle @iamjacsmusings. His thoughts on TV, films and comics can be read at iamjacsmusings.wordpress.com.
