The holiday hustle is in full swing here at The Comics Place HQ. But Justin and Jeff found a spare second to take refuge in the hallowed walls of their subterranean podcast studio to talk about the 4 books they’re most excited about this week. Here’s your 4-Fantastic-Books! (The order of that “4” and “fantastic” is very important… its a rights issue…)

This week’s podcast is like no other episode of this podcast… Yes Django, Roman, Justin, and Jeff are all reunited, but that’s not uncommon. This week we record under the looming shadow of Batman. First things first, if you want to skip Magic Order #5 avoid spoilers like we said, skip ahead to minute 26:00. Right on the dot! Okay, we spend the first half of this weeks podcast talking about the weeks books ie: Miles Morales Spider-Man #1, Outer Darkness #2, The Lone Ranger #3, The Magic Order #5, and The Fantastic Four Wedding Special #1. We spend the second half talking about the 4 Bat books this week, of which there were VERY differing opinions. Sorry everybody, but we get on the negative train a little bit here. We forgive you if you’re tired of hearing about Batman so feel free to skip the very rowdy & disagreeing conversations about Detective Comics #994, Batman Annual #3, The Batman Who Laughs #1, & Batman Damned #2. That last one gets loud, angry, and curse filled. Also, this is our first week recording in the new podcast studio, so thanks for baring with us as we get used to the new rooms acoustics.

Another exciting week of comics sits before us like a diamond in the rough! That’s that saying from Aladdin, right? Diamond in the rough? Wow… we should unpack that at some point. But not today! NO! Today is for Jeff and Justin telling you what 4 comics you need to make sure and pick up this week! New Comic Book Day for 12/12/2018 is upon us, and there’s some things we think you’ll kick yourself if you miss!

Howdy there Jezza’s! We’ve got another buddy filled week of comic book conversation for you! Roman, Jeff, & Justin sit down to share their excitement with the world over a nice tub’a pub cheese! Immortal Hulk #11, Immortal Hulk: Best Defense #1, Green Lantern #2, Martian Manhunter #1, & Shazam #1. Also, the boys spend a solid minute trying to figure out what is going on in Batman #60. Chasing the clues, Gumshoes! And to top it all off, Justin brings the term “Jezza” to the table and they just can’t seem to let it go….
