"I'll get to it tomorrow."
How easy is it to say that? …especially when you have so much on your plate. Problem is, tomorrow may not come if your plate keeps getting heavier and heavier.
What would life be like without the full plate? What can you do NOW to make sure you're not overloading yourself with all the wrong stuff, pushing you further and further into survival mode? These are important questions to ask. And they're the exact questions I lean into with functional medicine expert and peak performance specialist, Dr. Terry Harmon, on this week's episode of the Coming Up Clutch with J.R.™ show.
If you want to thrive more often and stop falling into survival mode, then lock in to this week's episode!

How does it make you feel when you have a much better understanding of something vs. the person or people around you?
If you're anything like me, you feel confident. You may even feel like your leadership got a jolt of fuel. If you're really like me, you want to help those people around you understand at the same level you're at. Bottom line, knowledge is power. You and I both know that.
But then why are so many people missing the opportunity to gain MORE power because their ego is saying, "You know this already. No need to dive deeper." Surprisingly, it's an enemy a lot of elite people face. In many cases, they're losing the battle. Let's not let that be you.
In today's 5 Minute Drill, we're going to talk about how to protect yourself against the ego enemy - a growth and transformation killer. If you want more confidence to lock that enemy down when it tries to get you, then lock in to today's Drill

What are you measuring yourself up against?
Sadly, for years, I was measuring myself up against so many other people. That's why my life and path looked like a dang heart rate monitor. Up here, down there, over there, back down, back up. It's dizzying just thinking about it.
The shift happened when I started measuring myself up against a version of myself that I wanted to be. Shortly after, my path got clearer and straighter. And **my** version of success started becoming a reality.
I'm not the only one this happened to. Former NFL Linebacker, Bryan Schwartz, has a similar story that will open your eyes wide, and he's my Guest on this week's episode of the Coming Up Clutch with J.R.™ show.
If you want a clearer and straighter path to your desired future, then lock in to this week's episode!

Is celebrating wins part of your yearly goal-setting process?
If you're like most people, that answer is NO. If that's the case, you're missing out on a huge opportunity to set more informed goals that are aligned with the best version of you.
Because I'm aware that most high achievers aren't celebrating their wins regularly, in today's 5 Minute Drill, we're going to talk about this overlooked strategy when it comes to goal-setting, strategic planning, and human performance. I'm determined to help you close out 2024 strong! I'm watching so many high-capacity, high-powered athletes, executives, and leaders miss this and it's causing them to leave so much more fuel and ammo and energy on the table. So, instead of closing out this year helping you set goals, I'm going to do you one better - I'm going to share the strategy that will help you enter 2025 with energy, confidence, and a lot more clarity as to what goals to even set for this next year. So, get ready to lock in to today's Drill!

"That won't ever happen to me."
Ever catch yourself saying that? You know, you hear a news story about the smash-and-grab in a city parking lot…or the car following a lady home from her grocery store trip…or the drunk dude who just randomly landed a punch on an innocent pedestrian, sending him to the hospital with a serious head injury…
"Nah, that won't ever happen to me. My shopping areas have great security…I live in a safe area…I'm not out late at night…"
But, what if you're wrong? I mean, athletes have beaten the odds. Teams have beaten the odds. WEATHER has beaten the odds. Last time I checked, criminals can beat the odds, too.
This is why I brought back Jonathan Burke to my show - one of the top self-defense and close quarters combat experts on the planet. In one of my BEST episodes of the year, Jon and I tackle one of the most overlooked and undervalued topics around human performance today. If you care about keeping yourself and your loved ones safe, ESPECIALLY during the holidays, then lock in to today's episode. And, then…

When you hear phrases like, "The mind-body connection," what do you think?
Seems pretty simple to interpret, right? The mind is connected to the body and the body is connected to the mind. But as simple as that seems, there's still a ton of mixed messages on how we align our mind and body so they can work together to unleash the power we have - physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
If you're tired of all the conflicting advice out there, you're going to LOVE this week's conversation on the Coming Up Clutch with J.R.™ show. I'm on the mic with Alyse Gaulin - the Co-Founder and CEO of Own It. Alyse helps 8, 9, and 10 figure entrepreneurs, married couples, and pro athletes make health a habit. If you want practical insight on how to unleash the power inside your mind and body, then don't miss today's episode.

Why is persevering worth it?
In Romans 5:3-5, we get one of the main reasons why. The verse says, "...suffering produces perseverance and perseverance produces CHARACTER."
Great. One HUGE benefit to persevering is you get character. I get it - you desperately need character to not only keep in the race you're in but also WIN it. But HOW the heck do you persevere when things get tough?
In today's 5 Minute Drill, we're going to tackle this as I continue my 4-part series on purpose pit stops. It's all about doubling down on a few particular habits that, when coupled with some prayer and praise, WATCH OUT! Talk about hurdle jumped (and then some). So, if you want to persevere like the best of the best do, then lock in to today's Drill.

When's the last time you bet on yourself?
When you DON'T bet on yourself, what gets in the way? Typically, it's the same old culprits:
Fear of the unknown
Lack of confidence
Confusion
They could be paralyzing, therefore keeping you stuck in status quo. In many cases, you feel like the gap between where you are and where you want to be gets wider.
If you've ever struggled to bet on yourself, especially when it comes to your dreams and goals, you're going to LOVE this week's conversation on the Coming Up Clutch with J.R.™ show. I'm on the mic with longtime baseball agent and the Executive Vice President & Managing Director of Wasserman Baseball, B.B. Abbott
