Commander ad Populum

Welcome to another deck tech for the people, by the people, for the people!

Big thank you to new sponsors of the CadPop Deck Techs, Fusion Gaming Online! Find them here: fusiongamingonline.com

This week's deck is another Patreon submission. I love featuring the Pateon community's decks as they represent all the categories I like to feature. The new player looking to build their Commander experience. The intermediate player, looking to refine and edge, within the game. And, the long-time, advance player looking to FEEL something.

This week's deck: https://archidekt.com/decks/619564#Kels_Battlebots

Huge thank you to all the Patreon supporters of the podcast.

Welcome to another very special episode of Commander ad Populum. Commander for the people, by the people, for the people.

We've got a double hit of community this week. In the first half of the Community Section I touch briefly on Secret Lair: The Walking Dead. I don't have any hot takes or groundbreaking thoughts. I just want us all to reflect, come up with articulate and reasonable responses to the product and move on the better, as a community!

The second half of the Community Section this week, I talk about how I think about MtG content creation and what are some of the considerations if you'd like to start a creator journey of your own.

If you'd like to give me your thoughts on today's topics, hit me up on Twitter @CadPopCast. Make sure to check out the CadPop Community Spotlight on Twitter as well. It has the social media tags for all the great people, and channels, we mentioned. You can find me on Facebook, here: Facebook.com/CadPopCast. Both the Twitter and Facebook feeds have threads for each episode of Commander ad Populum. Let me know what you think.

If you'd like to support Commander ad Populum or my altered-art Magic card business, you can pledge on Patreon, here: Patreon.com/CadPopCast. There are a bunch of great benefits associated with being a patron. Especially if you're into altered-art cards!

Big thank you to the official sponsor of Commander ad Populum, Fusion Gaming for making this episode, and future episodes possible!

Welcome to another very special episode of Commander ad Populum. Commander for the people, by the people, for the people.

This week's community topic updates everyone on the Commander ad Populum YouTube project and reminds everyone to contribute to the online MtG community that you would like to be a part of. The community that you'd like your friends and family to be a part of. Let's make it the best it can be!

Our Technical Section spends a tiny bit of time on each of the abilities featured in Future Site

This week's set retrospective covers Future Sight! With its myriad of abilities and future shifted cards, it promises to be a complex set retro.

Welcome to another very special episode of Commander ad Populum. Commander for the people, by the people, for the people.

This week's community topic aims to let everyone know that if they've made it this far without ever owning some of the most expensive Commander-playable cards on the Reserved List, that they did a good job in not draining their wallet. And, that they never actually needed the cards to have a good time, in the first place!

Our Technical sections compares Vanishing, from Planar Chaos, to Fading, from Nemesis. They're the same, yet different. Find out how.

Love it or hate it, this week's set retrospective covers Planar Chaos and all of it's color-shifted goodness!

Welcome to another very special episode of Commander ad Populum. Commander for the people, by the people, for the people.

This week, we conclude our personal wellness and MTG Fitness series with my final thoughts. I sum it all up by reiterating the reoccurring themes and punctuate it all with a couple reminders. You are worth it. You deserve your best live. We can use games to teach us these things. I hope everyone has enjoyed this mini-series!

This week, the Technical Section and Set Retrospective are back! It's all about Time Spiral today, so strap in! We hit up all the mechanics that returned for the set as well as both of the new mechanics, Suspend and Split Second. After that, we look at the legendary creatures and the rest of the goodies that Time Spiral introduced to the Magic universe.

Welcome to another very special episode of Commander ad Populum. Commander for the people, by the people, for the people.

This week, we continue our journey that focuses on fitness and wellness. I'm joined, once again, by Matt Morgan from EDHRECast. We get an inside look at Matt's commitment to his long term health. Matt also provides Magic-related examples of some of the small tricks he's learned along the way.

Like in Magic, the quality of our experience is an accumulation of all the little things working together after we take those first steps. Matt's preferred experience: a good life!

This week, we continue our journey that focuses on fitness and wellness. I'm joined by Matt Morgan from EDHRECast. We discuss balance. Not just within the game of Magic, but also in Matt's busy schedule. We cover Matt's early years as a Magic player and how it's helped mold him into the Commander player he's become.
