His comment follows a report that National Treasury has discovered that there are 12 000 dead people on its register of companies that do business with the State.

The reality is that there is just too much chaos.

Xolani reflects on the  African National Congress (ANC) Chief Whip Jackson Mthembu who  has called for the Parliamentary ad hoc committee to investigate both public and private funding for political parties.

Mthembu said private funding needs to be regulated in the interest of transparency and enhancing democracy. This is a good call.It's important that we know where they get their money from.We need to know who is pulling the strings behind the scenes, whose policy are they promulgating.

Xolani reflects on the lives of South Africa that  must treated equally. Gwala's comment follows the death of 29 illegal miners after an explosion at a disused mine in the Free State.

We just don't value lives in South Africa. Once we change that attitude I think we will be able to address this scourge of violence.

We need some sort of moral regeneration where we start taking life seriously. It doesn't matter that you are an illegal miner or you are not a South African. One life lost is one too many.
