Xolani Gwala reflects on rating agencies lacking credibility. He feels it’s disingenuous to say rating agencies lack credibility.

"You should have started criticizing them before 2012. You should have thought about how conspiratorial they are before 2012. But because it serves you now you say, 'we can't be held ransom by agencies serving a political agenda. When did they start serving this political agenda? President Jacob Zuma started presiding over the country in 2009, and not until 2012 did they start downgrading us."

Xolani speaks to Business Leadership South Africa (BLSA) deputy chairperson, Bonang Mohale who spoke about the President Jacob Zuma that  sabotaged economic growth and radical economic transformation by axing Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan and his deputy Mcebisi Jonas.

Following  Friday’s statement by  Secretary General Gwede Mantashe  who expressed his unhappiness, saying the party was not consulted on the decision, while Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa made it clear that he was opposed to former Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan’s axing.
