Xolani Gwala reflects on the the African National Congress (ANC)  that cannot be "left alone" when it is directly linked to South Africa's governance.

His  comment follows Minister of Communications Ayanda Dlodlo's remarks that she will introduce the encrypted form of digital terrestrial television, which her predecessor Faith Muthambi refused to implement.

He says "fights" and problems within the ANC are finding expression in how the country is run. All of these fights at that level affect governance.

Xolani reflects on the Bloomberg reports that the World Trade Organisation (WTO) has upheld Australia’s laws on plain packaging of cigarettes and other tobacco products after a five-year legal battle. 
This could have implications on other countries such as South Africa, which already has a draft bill mandating plain cigarette packaging.He says there is only one solution for smokers, just quit, I did it its easy .

Xolani reflects on the Minister of Energy Mmamoloko Kubayi  who told Parliament's portfolio committee on energy that South Africa sold much of its strategic fuel stock last year‚ contradicting her predecessor‚ Tina Joemat-Pettersson. Xolani Gwala says Joemat-Pettersson and all those involved in the sale of stock must be held accountable.

Xolani reflects on the article  in the City Press  on the pension fund administrator  working for Anglo Platinum employees who has lost  R255m worth of mine workers  money and the devastating blow  to the families of deceased  mine workers .
