Birdies for Charity: Hartford Artisans Weaving Center

The Hartford Artisans Weaving Center is committed to being a welcoming, accessible community that actively works to create a kinder and more equitable world for everyone. Our diverse community unites people from different backgrounds and experiences to learn from each other and uncover their own unique skills. We challenge assumptions about disabilities and aging and show that everyone deserves an opportunity for creative expression. We recognize we have a responsibility not only to open our doors wider, but also to understand and work to change the racial and gender inequities that hurt us all.

Birdies for Charity: Conquer Brain Tumors Inc
Founders: Krysta Pereira and Crystal Lentz
Our mission is to raise awareness for both childhood and brain cancer. A portion of our funds will be donated towards brain tumor research. We are raising funds in hopes of finding a cure for this this horrible illness. This non-profit organization, Conquer Brain Tumors Inc., was founded on February 16, 2018 .

Make-A-Wish CT Chapter is celebrating it's 35th Anniversary this summer!

Pam Keough, CEO Make A Wish CT Chapter joined by Cathy Miceli – the VERY FIRST wish mom of Connecticut!

Cathy’s son Donny wished to go to Walt Disney World in 1984. He lived in Ridgefield CT and was diagnosed with cancer when he was eight years old. It was Donny’s wish in 1984 that inspired the founding of Make-A-Wish Connecticut in 1986. Unfortunately, Donny passed away in 1985, but the impact of his wish still lives on.

Birdies for Charity: Malta House of Care Clinic of Greater Hartford

The Malta House of Care mobile medical clinic provides high-quality, free primary health care to uninsured adults in Greater Hartford, always with compassion and respect. This is made possible by our incredible corps of volunteer doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals who contribute about 1,000 hours of free medical care each year, as well as thousands of generous financial supporters.

Birdies for Charity: Tail to Paw Animal Support

Tail To Paw Animal Support works to ensure that no owner has to abandon their companion animal on the streets or at a shelter due to their poverty level or housing status. Tail To Paw provides assistance with food, supplies and basic medical visits and vaccinations.

Birdies for Charity: Northeast Opportunities for Wellness Inc

Our mission at Northeast Opportunities for Wellness is simple, but so important:
to make a positive impact in the lives of Northeast Connecticut children by ensuring access to programs that promote fitness, nutrition and sports – regardless of ability to pay. Because with opportunities for wellness NOW, kids can be healthier and happier for life.

Birdies for Charity: Hartford Performs

Hartford Performs brings visiting artists into Hartford Public Schools to teach curriculum in creative new ways. We take Hartford kids out to area arts organizations to ensure they experience professional dance, music, theater and museums. And we provide Hartford teachers with professional-learning programs that help them use art techniques in their classrooms to help kids learn and develop. Almost 14,000 students in all 30 PreK-Grade 8 public schools in our city benefit from our system each year.

Birdies for Charity: Beth-El Center in Milford

The Beth-El Center's mission is to extend dignity and respect to all individuals and families while connecting them to housing, food and services within their communities.

Our vision is to create a community where everyone is home and all are fed!

Beth-El Center is a 501c3, nonprofit organization that has two programs: a 34 bed homeless shelter and a food service program.
