  • Being Born Again: Turning Our Hearts of Stone to Hearts of Flesh (Pastor Matt Morgan)

This morning we are going to be looking at the story of Nicodemus visiting Jesus in the night. Jesus tells Nicodemus that he must be born again, and the same is true for us. We have to let the Spirit of God change us so that we live like Jesus every day that we live.

We are also going to look at the history of the Tulsa Race Massacre and the role that the church played in spite being filled with born again Christians.

We have to work towards making sure our future looks drastically different from our past.

This sermon was recorded on 5-30-21.

  • Stop Just Looking Up! (Pastor Matt Morgan)

This morning is Ascension Sunday, the day we remember Jesus' ascension to heaven. When Jesus ascended, the disciples watched in awe and stood there and just stared. What happened to Jesus? Where did he go? What's next?

An angel had to come and remind the disciples that they couldn't just stand there staring up at the sky. They had to get busy!

This same message is important to us today. We have to be ready to look around us and see the needs of people nearby and be willing to serve.

  • Pentecost Sunday: The Birth of Christ's Church (Pastor Matt Morgan)

On this day roughly 50 days after Easter, we celebrate Pentecost. Pentecost is the day when the Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples and filled them with hope in such a way that they immediately left the locked upper room and began to preach in the name of Jesus. They did miraculous things through the power of the Spirit and over 3,000 people came to know Jesus that day. It came to be known as the  birthday of the Church.

Today we will talk about the birth of the church and how the church is aging. Join us this morning as we focus on what makes Pentecost so important and how we can honor the move of Jesus by bettering the church.

This sermon was recorded on 5-23-21.

  • On Bearing Fruit: An Ethiopian Eunuch Meets the True Vine

This morning, we will see how inclusive the Kingdom of God is through the story of the apostle Phillip evangelizing a man who previously would have been considered unworthy. Jesus breaks down the barriers that we sometimes erect and brings people into the Kingdom even when we think they are unworthy or not good enough. We want to be a church that looks like Jesus. This sermon was recorded on 5-2-21.
