Wenhui Zhou, MD, PhD reviews a recent AJR article examining the feasibility of 1.5-T and 3-T MRI to detect a novel marker for smoldering multiple sclerosis and histopathological correlate of this MR marker. This study supports the widespread utilization of 1.5-T MRI to further explore the clinical utility of a novel MR marker in multiple sclerosis patients.
