What haunts you more? You waking up in the middle of the night to George Lopez jumping on a trampoline or George Lopez as every single character in Sharkboy and Lavagirl? Well, folks, we're here. We don't know how we got here exactly, but today, we're reviewing The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl (2005). It's a throwback, packed full of childhood nostalgia and comedic genius. Thanks for recommending [the sequel], Logan! Randi and Lindsey talk about how difficult it is to critique a film that won a "Worst Movie" award, how Lavagirl is a Girlboss(TM), and how Taylor Lautner's role as Sharkboy just required a lot of screaming.
Next week, we're watching Lindsey's friend Celina's recommendation, About Time (2013). Catch it on Netflix before Wednesday! And make sure you write in your own movie recommendation to our email - [email protected]. For all Completely Unqualified updates, follow @completelyUNQ on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. And we are...completely unqualified!
This is the greatest show!!! Or maybe not the greatest, since we acknowledge our unqualified-ness, but this episode is certainly one of our best. Sam Humphrey from the hit original musical, The Greatest Showman (2017), joins us for an interview about his role as Charles Stratton and Tom Thumb in the film. Randi and Lindsey talk with Sam about his rise to the big screen, his idol and fellow castmate - Hugh Jackman, and Sam's career outside of acting. You won't want to miss Episode Thirty-One, "The Greatest Show on Earth."
Next week, Randi picked one of Lindsey's favorite childhood films that they're both so eager to revisit and roast...The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl (2005). Thanks for recommending the sequel, which then inspired Randi to pick the original film, Logan. Make sure you write in your own movie recommendations to our email - [email protected] - and follow us on social media for sneak-peeks of our interview with Sam Humphrey and Completely UNQ updates - @completelyUNQ. And we are...completely unqualified!
Just two white pieces of bread here for Episode Thirty of Completely Unqualified! We can't believe we made it to THIRTY! Thank you all so much for listening to Randi and Lindsey rant every week. Per Randi's bestie's recommendation (thanks, Taylor), we watched Scarface (1983) for this fine, monumental episode. In "Runner and Track Star, Tony Montana," Lindsey and Randi implore you to not snort powdered milk and request you rate this iconic film higher than a 65 out of 100 if you want to stay friends with them.
For Episode Thirty-One next week, Randi and Lindsey had the incredible opportunity to interview Sam Humphrey from The Greatest Showman (2017), who played Charles Stratton/Tom Thumb in this classic movie-musical. Watch it now on Disney+, if you haven't already, and get ready for another wonderful interview episode. Follow and subscribe to Completely Unqualified on social media - @completelyUNQ on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram - for sneak-peeks and updates about this special episode. Make sure you write in your own movie recommendations to our email - [email protected] - so we can review your favorites (or least favorites), too!

We're baaaaaack! We know we technically never left you hanging on a Wednesday, but it has been almost a month since Lindsey and Randi last talked to one another or watched a movie for the pod. It was great to be back talking about Uncle Frank (2020) this week! Thanks for the recommendation, Amelia! Please excuse Lindsey for being coughy & wheezy because she has laryngitis and also excuse her for inappropriately laughing at uncomfortable things; this movie was full of them. Episode Twenty-Nine is comprised of NOT fun facts and movie recommendations for films that aren't this one. We give you exactly what you'd expect from us - completely unqualified content.
Next week, we're watching one of Randi's favorites...Scarface (1983). Thanks for recommending this one, Taylor! Watch it with us on Netflix before next Wednesday and write in your own movie recommendation, while you're at it, to [email protected]. Follow us on social media - @completelyUNQ on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook - for updates about your favorite comedic film review podcast each week. xoxo. And we are...completely unqualified!
Thank you, Kevin from Tinder, for recommending this film full of comedic genius for Episode Twenty-Eight - Hot Rod (2007). Randi and Lindsey debate eagles vs. sharks, discuss the beauty of a 47-second fall, and share if they would attend someone in their own hometown's jumping event over 15 school buses. We, yet again, have a shorter episode than normal because finals are HERE (and we recorded this in advance). Enjoy some left-in bloopers like last episode. And some potentially "explicit" content in comparison to our typical Completely UNQ standards. Goodnight, Denise!
Next week, we're watching Lindsey's pal's recommendation - Uncle Frank (2020). Thank you, Amelia!! Catch it on Amazon Prime before Episode Twenty-Nine to enjoy Lindsey and Randi's typical movie discussion and deconstruction. Recommend your own movie now by sending an email to [email protected]. Follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, too - @completelyUNQ. And we are...completely unqualified!
As a special Wednesday treat for an unusually short episode here on Completely Unqualified, we kept a lot of bloopers in for you. On Episode Twenty-Seven, Randi and Lindsey are speaking Simlish, proclaiming that love is dead, and begging you to not simp for men in khaki cargos. We watched The Last Five Years (2014) for today's episode and hated (nearly) every minute of it so we "chose our own adventure" and came up with a different ending for this romantic flop of a film. Nonetheless, this made for a super fun episode - thanks for the recommendation, Giang!! Lindsey loves you (and implores you not to watch this movie).
Next week, we're watching a movie that defined our generation - Hot Rod (2007). Thanks for the rec, Kevin from Tinder!! Write in your own movie recommendations to our email, [email protected], and follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram by searching this handle - @completelyUNQ. And we are...completely unqualified!
Just a couple of Danny DeVito Dorito fan girls and Whitney Houston stans on Episode Twenty-Six of Completely Unqualified today!! We are so humbled and honored to have Kiami Davael from the childhood classic film, Matilda (1996), join us on today's episode. Kiami brought the character of Lavender to life. Having the opportunity to interview her was incredible for us. Randi and Lindsey ask Kiami questions about her career, and discuss their favorite scenes, moments, & memories with the movie, Matilda.
Make sure to follow Kiami Davael on her Instagram (@officialkiamidavael) or her Twitter (@kiamidavael), and follow Completely UNQ on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram (@completelyUNQ). Write in your own movie recommendation via our email, too - [email protected]. Thanks for recommending Matilda, Madisen! Next week, Lindsey and Randi are watching The Last Five Years (2014). We hope it gives us an outlet to roast all of the men that have wronged us in our lives. We tried to avoid it on this episode.
And, as always, we are...completely unqualified!
P.S. Forgive the quick cuts to "Roald Dahl." Randi really struggled saying his name (LOL) so sometimes it sounds choppy. xoxo
The Little Prince (2015) is *not* a cinematic crime. We hope you've been having a great Wednesday and that Episode Twenty-Five can contribute to it, because for Randi and Lindsey, this movie was heartbreaking! Thanks for the recommendation, though, Nat! Check this film out now on Netflix, Amazon Prime, or Crackle and cry along with us. Randi and Lindsey talk about bologna sandwiches, Taylor Swift's new album (somehow?), and simping for love. As always, please try to ignore the car sounds and miscellaneous background noises. We're completely unqualified, after all. Maybe one day we will be able to afford an official podcast studio...if you want that dream to be a reality, sponsor us via the Anchor link below!
Next week, we're watching Matilda (1996). We were lucky enough to have Kiami Davael, the actress that portrayed Lavender in the film, on Episode Twenty-Six with us. You will not want to miss this one! Check out sneak-peeks of our interview with Kiami via our social media - @completelyUNQ on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. And be sure to write in your own movie recommendations to our email - [email protected] - so we can rate and review your movie choice! And we are...completely unqualified!
We're heading to Flavortown for Episode Twenty-Four because we refuse to believe Guy Pearce and Guy Fieri aren't the same person. This week, thanks to Jaymason's recommendation, we watched one of Christopher Nolan's earlier films - Memento (2000). Randi apparently can't pronounce the word "existential," Lindsey feels like getting a dog is the solution to all of this man's problems, and the Completely UNQ gals point out some of this film's glaring plot-holes. Watch Memento now if you haven't already on Amazon Prime, Tubi TV, or Pluto TV.
Next week, we're watching (or, we already watched, because it's finals time, ya'll) The Little Prince (2015), recommended by Lindsey's pal Nat Rodriguez-Steen. The Little Prince is available on Netflix, Crackle, and Amazon Prime right now! As always, write in your own movie recommendations to our email - [email protected] - and make sure to follow us on social media (@completelyUNQ on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram).
And we are...completely unqualified!
Get your knives out! Just kidding...absolutely do not do that. Maybe just prepare yourself for some fan-girling on Lindsey's end because she's obsessed with Chris Evans and it’s bound to be annoying. This week, the Completely UNQ gals watched Knives Out (2019). Randi points out some issues with the "good immigrant" narrative, Lindsey talks about her love for the character Joni, and both girls agree Linda's hot pink suit is to DIE for. Are you excited for the sequels that are to come on Netflix in the future, starring Benny Blanc? We're somewhere in between, but will definitely be watching, nonetheless, because Daniel Craig's accent is irresistible. Thanks for recommending this entertaining movie, Kasey!
Next week, we're watching a film Randi just recently came across on her own time and fell in love with - Memento (2000). This Christopher Nolan classic was recommended by Jaymason! Lindsey has yet to watch this psychological thriller before, so the gals look forward to Randi's rewatched perspective.
