  • 77. Psychoneuroimmunomusicology

In this unique solo episode, of the Compromised to Alchemized podcast, I reflect on a month of profound growth, certainty, and clinical breakthroughs. I introduce a concept I first conceptualized nearly two decades ago: Psychoneuroimmunomusicology. I reflect on the evolution of my craft (clinical expertise and manual therapy) and my passion (music and creative expression). By combining these, I am developing a new framework for health that moves beyond traditional boundaries.

This episode serves as the first installment of exploring how sound, frequency, and movement intersect with the nervous and immune systems to facilitate deep healing.

  • 75. Integrative Pediatrics and Manual Therapy Collaboration with Dr. Tanya Altmann

In today’s episode I am broadcasting from Dr. Tanya Altmann’s vibrant Calabasas office. This episode focuses on the power of professional collaboration, exploring how an integrative pediatric perspective combined with advanced manual therapy can solve complex health puzzles for children and families. I also share major updates on my recent speaking engagements, new educational webinars, and my latest NuCalm audio tracks designed to facilitate a full-body "Phase Shift".

We explore the powerful intersection of traditional pediatrics and manual therapy and discuss how "village-style" collaboration can solve persistent health issues that often fly under the radar. From chronic ear fluid in frequent-flying toddlers to "goopy" tear ducts in newborns, this episode breaks down how upstream physical restrictions—like tongue ties or kidney misalignments—can manifest as downstream medical symptoms.

Check out her formal interview, “71. The Broader Scope of Healthcare with Pediatrician, Innovator, and Advocate Dr. Tanya Altmann”.

Dr. Tanya is trusted by the world’s leading health brands as a strategic advisor, helping them in product development, developing regulatory-compliance messaging, and navigating health communications during critical product launches and pivots. Dr. Tanya is a board-certified pediatrician with over two decades of experience helping children and families live healthier lives. She founded Calabasas Pediatrics Wellness Center to bring an integrative, whole-child approach to care—combining medical science with nutrition, mental health, and lifestyle support.

  • 74. The Alchemy of Presence with Michael Gungor

In this episode, Michael Gungor (musician, author, and philosopher) joins me, Dr. Neel Bulchandani, to discuss the subtleties and layers of creative and spiritual life. From the "Eddies" of our personality to the "Hurricane" of our emotions, Michael and I explore how to move from a state of lack and "torsional debt" into a life of integrated presence. This episode explores the intersection of music, the Enneagram, somatic healing, and the profound simplicity of "being here."

Michael Gungor is a creative mystic living in Pasadena, California. Primarily known for his music, Gungor is the co-founder and primary songwriter of the eclectic indie band Gungor. The group's acclaimed albums blend elements of folk, rock, electronic, and world music, with Gungor's thoughtful, introspective lyrics exploring the divinity of the human experience.

Gungor began his musical career writing worship music for the church, inspired by his Christian upbringing. However, as his own spiritual perspective expanded and evolved, so too did his artistic experimentation. Aside from his work under his musical moniker, Gungor, Michael has also released three ambient instrumental albums with his friend and bandmate Tyler Chester as “On Earth”, as well as an experimental side project called “Weiwu.”

Beyond his music, Gungor is also the co-founder of the popular The Liturgists podcast, which brings together diverse guests for honest, thought-provoking conversations about faith, science, art, and the nature of the divine. He also has a second podcast exclusively focused on non dual spirituality called “Loving This.”

In addition to his musical and podcast endeavors, Gungor has co-written songs for other artists, produced records, and created music for film and television. He is also an author, having published a book in 2010 titled "THIS: Becoming Free."

An acclaimed live performer, Gungor and his band have toured extensively, building a devoted fanbase around the world. His music has earned him multiple Grammy nominations and numerous other accolades, cementing his status as a unique and influential creative force.

  • 73. How to Align Consciousness with Unconsciousness with Jesse Coomer

In this long awaited episode of the Compromised to Alchemized podcast, I sit down with breathwork expert and author Jesse Coomer to explore the "anatomy of consciousness" and the evolution of human connection. As "Xennials," we look back at the technological shift of the late '90s, the Y2K hysteria, and how growing up in a world of dial-up modems shaped their unconscious perspective on change and resilience. We dive deep into the "inner universe," discussing the relationship between the conscious and unconscious mind, and why getting to know yourself often requires a circle of honest friends.

We explore the massive shifts in human history, from the discovery of fire to the rise of artificial intelligence. When we invented fire, we outsourced digestion. By cooking our food, we freed up biological energy, altered our facial structures, and created the "lunch hour"—ultimately building civilization in the time we used to spend chewing. Now, as "Xennials" standing on the precipice of the AI revolution, we are undergoing a second great outsourcing: The outsourcing of thinking. Jesse discusses the critical need for a new "language of breath" to keep our conscious and unconscious minds in alignment. We transcend the mechanics of the body to explore the vast "emotional landscape" of human potential. Jesse delves into his "Personal Legend"—a concept inspired by Paulo Coelho’s The Alchemist—revealing that his purpose isn’t to be the hero of the story, but the "Yoda" or "Big Brother" who guides others to their own treasure.

Jesse Coomer is a renowned breathwork authority, founder of the Breathwork Tactics program, author of numerous influential breathwork books, educational Youtuber, and as co-founder & lead faculty at The Language of Breath Breathworker School, he trains future breathwork coaches.

Jesse’s scientifically grounded approach to breath training caters to a diverse audience, including first responders, athletes, and CEOs. His programs enhance focus, decision-making, and overall well-being, offering specialized techniques for stress management, performance improvement, and recovery.

His evidence-based methods set a high standard in breathwork, reflecting a commitment to excellence that has profoundly impacted countless lives, helping individuals achieve both personal and professional success.

  • 69. The Divine Spark with George Mumford

Welcome back to the Compromised to Alchemized podcast. I am so excited to share this episode with you. In this episode, world-renowned psychologist and mindfulness performance expert George Mumford joins me to discuss the "Great Unlocking" - the idea that excellence is not something we build, but something we reveal by chipping away the blocks of fear, trauma, and survival mode.

George Mumford, famous for his work with Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, shares his "Georgisms" on intuition and the "Eye of the Hurricane". We discuss how to turn "survival mode" into "growth mode" through the lens of the Four A’s of Mindfulness.

George defines success not as a destination, but as the "progressive realization of a worthy ideal." We discuss how to move beyond the "illusion of separateness" to see every human being as a masterpiece. Whether working with the elite athletes or high-risk youth, the mission remains the same: releasing the divine spark within.

Michael Jordan credits George with transforming his on-court leadership, helping the Bulls to six NBA championships, while Mumford has also worked with Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal, and countless other NBA players, Olympians, executives, and artists. Mumford’s first book The Mindful Athlete: Secrets to Pure Performance is both a memoir and instruction guide. • 68. How to Brighten Your Path and Discover Your Purpose with MELT Method Creator Sue Hitzmann

In this episode of the Compromise to Alchemize podcast, I am very excited to interview Sue Hitzmann, host of the Anatomical Gangster podcast and creator of the MELT Method.

We discuss her personal legend, exploring how she moved from fitness professional to a world-renowned educator. We also discuss why mobility is about so much more than just stretching—it’s about resilience, hydration of the fascia, and staying curious enough to keep learning from the giants in the field.

Sue Hitzmann is a fascia educator, manual therapist, and the founder of the MELT Method®, a groundbreaking neurofascial self‑care system used worldwide to reduce chronic pain, improve mobility, and support healthy aging. With over 25 years of clinical and teaching experience, she translates fascia science, somatic education, and nervous system regulation into accessible techniques and treatments for both the public and wellness professionals. Sue is the New York Times bestselling author of The MELT Method and MELT Performance. She hosts the podcast Anatomical Gangster and is a leading voice in the global fascia and longevity conversation, helping more people understand how fascia shapes how we move, feel, recover, and age. With over 3,500 trained instructors worldwide and a thriving MELT On Demand platform, Sue continues to expand fascia-focused self-care through accessible practices that support mobility, resilience, and healthy aging.
