Her first book, “Planting the Seeds of Pregnancy: An Integrative Approach to Fertility Care” she co-authored a guide to both Eastern and Western approaches to fertility care. Her second book, “Not Broken: An Approachable Guide to Miscarriage and Recurrent Pregnancy Loss” is an evidence based review of the current evaluation and treatment for miscarriage.

She is dedicated to changing the conversation surrounding infertility and miscarriage from one of shame and guilt to one of support and empowerment.

Natural Fertility Specialist, Author and Researcher Dr Kerry Hampton, (RN, RM, Grad Dip Health Ed, MA Women’s Studies, PhD) completed her PhD research on this topic which concluded that most women presenting to fertility clinics were not aware of their fertile window.

In her doctoral study, Kerry identified several key elements of a future primary care model to help maximize natural conception and reduce unnecessary assisted fertility treatment. For this work, Kerry was the recipient of the 2015 Monash University, School of Primary Health Care Best Thesis Award. She has presented her research findings widely at conferences and achieved several peer reviewed publications. And I am thrilled to have her presenting her amazing research and valuable information for the Conceive Baby Webinar Series.

Kerry is a leader in her field, being the author and co-author of two endorsed health practitioner training programs: Comprehensive Course in Natural Fertility Education and Advanced Practice in Natural Fertility Education.

In this episode of the Conceive Baby Podcast I have a very special guest joining me. A guest a little different to my normal expert guests, but one that you have told me you would like to hear from. And that is one of my beautiful patients.

Felicity is 46. She started her fertility journey when she was 39. And it certainly wasn’t an easy journey.

Felicity was referred to me by her Fertility Specialist after multiple failed IVF cycles and a devastating loss.

Felicity is kindly sharing her story with us today to help others who may be struggling through similar issues.

Felicity lives in North East Victoria with her Husband Dave and Daughter Olivia (who will turn 2 in September). She is currently on extended family leave from her planning role with Forest Fire Management Victoria because she is loving motherhood!

In this episode of the Conceive Baby Podcast we’ll be talking about a couple of the more advanced IVF technologies being used particularly for male fertility issues – specifically ICSI and IMSI. We will cover what they are, when and why they might be used as well as the benefits and draw backs compared to standard IVF.

To help us understand more about these technologies, I’m speaking with Fertility Specialist Dr Daniel Lantsberg.

Daniel is a consultant gynaecologist specialising in fertility, reproductive endocrinology and fertility preservation, he is also the clinical director of education at Melbourne IVF. His special interests are elective egg freezing, age-related infertility, unexplained infertility, male infertility, fertility preservation, PCOS, endometriosis and fibroids.

Daniel has private rooms in east Melbourne and also holds a public appointment as a fertility specialist at the Reproductive Services Unit at The Royal Women’s Hospital where he is training junior doctors in fertility subspecialty training. Daniel also holds a Senior Lecturer appointment at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Melbourne.
