The New Orleans Saints have restructured Derek Carr's contract, but reports suggest that he was willing to test the market. New Orleans may have been better off letting him do so and embracing their future right away. There could now be a rift between Carr and the Saints if he truly wanted out.

Since the Saints did not invest in their future at quarterback this offseason (yet), they should use the money they saved from Carr's restructure to build for their next quarterback.
