So I'm still on the courage thing....I've been thinking about courage a lot lately as a pillar of confidence, partly because we're seeing women on global stages call up their courage & make moves that are aligned with the quality of life THEY desire to live.

Becoming confident will require our courage, and in this episode I'm sharing two questions that you can ask yourself when it's time to activate your courage.

The summer months bring transitions. The temperature gets warmer, the days get longer and students of all ages turn their tassels at graduations.

"If we're not careful, our self-talk will become the voice of our ego."

Our ego is always looking for a reason to show up, and I want us to become more aware of what "she" is saying so we can choose to release her when we're ready to grow.

Our confidence is able to grow when we decide to practice saying "Yes" to new ways of thinking and being; we get to activate the confidence loop that keeps us moving in the direction of the woman we're becoming.

And if confidence manifests in a loop, so can self-doubt. Let's discuss.

Life is always trying to teach us things – if we’re open to learning the lessons. As we move through our journeys of nurturing our confidence so we're able to glow, I believe we'll have to discipline ourselves to look for the lessons from every experience.

In order to get to the lessons and takeaways, we’ll have to be willing to do an autopsy.

How did you know that it was time to grow? I look back and recognize that there were patterns of discomfort that showed up in my life prior to me taking some of the biggest leaps in my life. I don't think I would've made some of the decisions I did if I wasn't already uncomfortable at the time. In this episode I’m talking about how discomfort can be deliberate, very much like the fairy tale The Princess and the Pea.

I don't believe there is anything we can buy that will give us the confidence to create the lives we desire. Sure, a dress or some BOMB shoes will help us feel extra saucy for a moment, but once we take those things off, the feeling goes with it. Even though we can't buy confidence, I believe we can borrow it. In this episode I'm sharing how being shoved into an uncomfortable position while I was a soldier gave me the opportunity to borrow the confidence that sustains me today.
