Connie A. Baker, MA, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in recovery from religious abuse. Connie’s life mission is to educate, validate, and advocate for religious abuse survivors. In 1990, she suffered life-shattering spiritual abuse and had NO ONE to talk with about it. She has since created a number of resources to help others recovering from spiritual abuse.

Connie’s book is called TRAUMATIZED BY RELIGIOUS ABUSE: Discover the Cultures and Systems of Religious Abuse and Reclaim Your Personal Power. She’s also created some card decks related to deconstruction and reconstruction. In this episode, we discuss Connie’s history and how Christians are groomed for codependency.
