The holiday season is among us right now which has our attention to feel joyful even in uncertain times we are all facing. Even though our lives have changed over the last two years, it is important that we try to share our time with family and friends for the holidays. For example, spending time with family and friends that you love. In this episode, I will talk about the music and movies that bring us together during the holiday season. The last episode I talked about Hurricane Ida, and the substantial destruction of the people of the gulf coast. This episode will be a continuation on the topic, but we will focus on the recovery effort that is ongoing to assist the people of the gulf coast. So the topic will be How the people are recovering from Hurricane Ida and still have a positive mindset. The one way people are recovering is by a distribution drive by organizations and community groups. The Temple of Praise Ministries created a partnership with The Jeremiah Group, Resilience Force, and other organizations to distribute items that were needed to the affected people in the community.

Well this episode will focus on my experience from Hurricane Ida and others as well. Hurricane Ida was a category 4 hurricane. This Hurricane had a lot of people worried because it was exactly the date of Hurricane Katrina. 16 years ago on August 29 was Hurricane Katrina. When people of New Orleans heard how similar this Hurricane was to Katrina, a lot of people decided to evaluate. How peculiar 

Hurricane Ida came ashore on the same date of Hurricane Katrina which brought tremendous damage to New Orleans and the gulf coast. This episode's topic is Hurricane Ida, the substantial destruction that changed peoples lives in the gulf coast as well as other areas. This topic will be a two or three part episode focusing on the hurricane.

I came up with this topic, because my family, friends and I are dealing with a National Disaster right now and that is a Hurricane. I live in New Orleans, Louisiana where Hurricane season is something to think about every year. The season starts on June 1and ends on November 30. This is the time of the year it is most rampant. That's right if you live near a body of water, this is on your mind every year. The current Hurricane affecting the Louisiana coast is Hurricane Ida. I will talk about how I am preparing for the Hurricane.

Continuing from our previous episode where we discussed COVID-19 myths vs facts, this episode is aimed at discusses traditional and non-traditional outreach to educate and motivate the unvaccinated.

Even though our scientists, experts, and medical professionals have been working hard to get information to the public, along with holding vaccination events, people are still reluctant to get the vaccination.

If we are serious about reaching the masses, we need to implement different approaches to reach the unvaccinated.

In essence, utilizing different outreach approaches to educate community members on the importance of testing and vaccinations will play an integral role in increasing the number of vaccinated people.

COVID has affected everyone and everything in our lives. We are being told different things every day by our family, friends, the media, and the government. How can we get back to normal? What can we believe about this epidemic?

It has been an entire year since our lives have changed due to the pandemic. The ways we used to communicate with each other are not the same anymore. Our interactions are different in the workforce and in our schools. It's even different in the ways we shop and do business. It's a new day and we’re living in a new way! This new norm has been a challenge for all of us.

Now everyone wants to get back to life as they knew it before COVID.

But in order for this to happen, everyone has a role to play and we must all play our part! That means vaccinations, vaccinations, vaccinations... along with other safety measures are the key to combat the virus that has changed our world!

Now some people are glad to receive the vaccine, while others are reluctant. As we have been in ongoing conversations with elected officials, pastors, community leaders, and others, we are hearing reasons why people have not had the vaccination.

Our Federal Government, the local Government and Companies are having to make tough decisions on how to move forward with the new Delta variant. During this episode we will be talking about the myths vs facts that have led to the mistrust and misinformation that people have about vaccines.
