Director Michael Bilandic (Jobez World) joins Tom Tuna & B to discuss the unheralded work of absurdist provocateur filmmaker Christoph Schlingensief (1960-2010) and his relevence to the canon of liberated heretical consciousness. An overall artist who's work spanned film, performance, opera, and installation (and whose true liberal sensibilities drew disgust from everyone from Wim Wenders to conservatives to the left), we dive into someone who represented BIG T*ARD energy in it's maximum capacity.
Terror 2000, Trash Stars, Euphoria (with Tilda Swinton) German Chainsaw Massacre, dressing up like a Hasi and giving Germany over to Globalization at the Statue of Liberty. Mike also reminisces on his time in Austin TX in the late 90's heyday of slacker boho paradise, Dirty Nasty (Simon Rex) wiggaz, and his movie Happy Life.
"I don't mind tumbling down a hill and crashing into a tree as long as it's done in a state of Euphoria" - C. Schlingensief
Writer / University Researcher Nicolas Hausdorf (Author of Superstructural Berlin) comes on to discuss authoritarian technocratic statecraft-apologists in academia and his new review of Benjamin Bratton’s book Revenge of The Real as well as the controversy surrounding Italian philosopher Giorgio Agamben (and how he did nothing wrong) . How you can't really talk about reality while discounting historical forces like cryptography, getting quirked up, metaphysics, and the inconvenient truth of scientism's usage as a handmaiden for power.
Lutz Dammbeck: The Net: The Unibomber, LSD, and the Internet. UFO's, Social, Engineering, and Psychological Fragmentation. An old article for Vice where he says Wearables are bad and they altered the article to say he actually liked them.
Intro song: Absolute Unit Remix by Baddcitizen (RIPJEWELXXET) from the Spiral album and cues from Delivery LA
"Benjamin Button appears as part of a new breed of heavy-handed authoritarian leftists, who similar to creatures like Emmanuel Macron, deliver the New World Order top-down style and with a few meaningless quips against woke constructivism"

Contain's most requested guest, Writer, Art Columnist, and Spike New York Editor Dean Kissick comes on to discuss leaving society, identity, and the ways in which we might free ourselves from individualism. Many people have tried on all sides of the political spectrum and failed, either through new trad movements, social media "friend" networks, and secular utopianism. Does spirituality in a base or broad sense help answer this question?
Michel Houellebecq's The Elementary Particles, Witold Gombrowicz's Ferdyduke, Byung Chul Han's Psychopolitics, and Tao Lin's Leave Society (reviewed in his Downward Spiral Column) set examples of ego liberation, maybe through emancipatory DADA nihilism, kratom, Jesus, baroque art, being Black Dean Kissick, and more.
Lots to unpack here, and hopefully some ideas to enjoy.

What is going on with music? We ask elder statesmen artist/musician Luke Calzonetti (Run Dust/Child Abuse) and Drag City artist/musician/writer Mike Donovan (Sic Alps/Peacers) on a seasoned perspective on how we might now perceive music (now?) and how mystery music and the underground became anachronistic, getting into painting and writing etc. Mike discusses his new book, an anthropological account of what Taxi driving would look like to a human 100 years from now. Will To Power of fronting a musical project in the age of covid and the need for conflict.
It doesn't matter how easy it is to do, it matters what you do! Unearthing lore from the early 2000's Library of Alexandria, this is one of my favorite episodes.
Featuring songs from Mike Donovan's new Drag City record Exurbian Quonset (Digital Dan, Hate Mail Writer) and Run Dust's Banca Nazionale (Baccus, and Leisure Village (Distant Bloods)

Are a lot of people going to die? We ask ex-model, conspiracy theorist, and organic health guru Troy Casey the serious questions (what should you do in order to stop snorting ketamine) and he offers some serious solutions (take a baths in a tub of ice, eat bull testicles). On the death question, he discusses survival tactics and lays out the prophecies of Mayan doomsday saga, the book of revelation, and why humanity is killing itself with soy and pancakes.
Why natural tits and ass is the best, staying healthy in a toxic world, celebrating your shadow, the law of mentalism, social engineering, testosterone boosting foods + more.
Do you like your life? Well look in the mirror and ask yourself how it's working out for you.
