On July 14, 2019, we gathered at Lincoln Avenue Bible Church to celebrate our 15th birthday. It was a wonderful time of worship, feasting and celebrating God’s faithfulness towards our church.

1. Make a list of all the emotions you imagine David might be experiencing in this Psalm. When have you had a similar experience in your walk with God?

2. David models "brutal honesty" in his conversation with God. Do you feel free to approach God with similar freedom? How does understanding God's grace empower you to be increasingly honest with God?

2. In order to be faithful, Abraham couldn't simply rely on his feelings. To be obedient, he had to actively think about the promises of God. Do you tend to be more of a thinker or a feeler? How does this affect your walk with God?

3. How is Jesus the better and truer version of this story? How does his faithfulness on the cross help you grow in your faith and obedience to him?

1. Have you ever had to wait on God for a significant amount of time? What did the waiting expose in your own heart?

2. How would Abraham's story be different if he had consistently believed that God was both powerful and trustworthy?

3. In what areas are you struggling to trust and wait for God? How does the life of Jesus demonstrate the power and trustworthiness of God to you?

1. This week, the text focuses on God's wrath and judgment. What questions do you have regarding these attributes of God? How does the text shape our understanding of these attributes?

2. In what way does Jesus, the righteous one, resolve the tension in this text?
3. Abraham fulfilled a priestly duty by interceding for the people of Sodom, though they were extremely wicked. In Christ, we also become priests who intercede for others. Take a few moments to pray that God would bring salvation to those in your life who do not yet know Jesus.

Marriage is inherently beautiful because it was created by God and it reflects his image and nature. Reclaiming Marriage needs to first begin with reclaiming a Biblical view of God and his purpose for the world. In this session, we unpack how the Gospel affects the way we are to understand God and subsequently, marriage.

If marriage is beautiful, then why is it so hard? In this session, we seek to answer this question by exploring the ways that sin has crept into our marriages and marred God's good design.

To achieve a goal, you need an action plan for how to reach it. Marriage is no different. In this session, we explore how to build up your marriage toolset and apply the truth of the Gospel to your marriage in practical, helpful ways.
